Hello , I believe this is my first time posting and not just commenting. My family and I have maintained and practiced Covid protocols since the beginning. I mask everywhere. In my neighborhood, work etc they are accustom to seeing me masking. I don’t feel uncomfortable about it but frankly it is becoming a mental strain. Again not because I am self conscious but I feel like there is this invisible barrier around me. Today I stopped by a friends outdoor party. I didn’t even want to go initially. However I popped in and stayed approximately 30 minutes. I was masked the whole time. I left and I burst into tears. It just came to me. Stupid things I was upset about. I can’t wear lipstick , my hair is always a mess with the n95 . I can’t eat or drink and it was 95 degrees and the mask was unbearable. The music was playing people were laughing and talking and I don’t know it felt really bad and isolating. I realize today more than ever I am missing out.
