As of writing this, I am still in the middle of playing it. But as of now I can definitely say that this game is nothing but amazing.

As you could've guessed, this is very similar to Pokemon. The creators don't hide that fact and it's right out there in the open. So why should you buy this game?
- The designs are super unique and you can't help falling in love with them,
- There is a lot to do, much like how much there is to do in Pokemon. You get options to breed, competitively, hunt for luma (shiny), etc.
- It's basically Pokemon for PC! How much more could you want?

There have been some review bombing lately due to the battle pass that was introduced and the developers have expressed their concerns with this. The battle pass is purely for cosmetics. Nothing else. The developers do not want this to become a P2W game and they have explicitly stated that. The battle pass is for more cosmetics and to help support the developers even more to keep updating the game. You do not have to purchase the battle pass and you can very much play the game and get involved in the competitive scene without it.

I've really been enjoying this game and I have been loving the community surrounding it.
If you are a Pokemon fan, I would highly recommend this.

All jokes aside, as someone who is studying the Japanese language, I really appreciate the Japanese culture implemented in this game. I am also a sucker for retro games and this game has really dug into me and has made it one of my favorite games of all times. It may not click for some people, but it is definitely worth the shot if you are looking for something new to play. I also really appreciate the "detective" sort of vibe this game gives off.

Despite what a lot of people say about this game, it is actually quite amazing. Despite having the infamous laughing scene that you may have heard of, it has a compelling story with amazing characters and game play. Definitely one of my favorite games of all time.

This is not for the faint of heart. If you are wanting something different, look no further. Just be prepared, as this game is emotionally intense.
