Black Mesa is a stellar game that masterfully balances staying true to the original's visuals, audio, and gameplay, while also offering its own unique touch. It remains loyal to the original storyline. I'd recommend playing the original Half Life first; doing so will enhance your appreciation for this game.

Alright, so this game gives off some serious Alien: Isolation vibes, but it's simpler, which actually works pretty well with the game's story and vibe. I mean, I've played a lot of horror games, but there are parts of this one that still get me jittery. For the price tag, I reckon it's a steal. Lots of reasons to play it over, especially since things like item locations get switched up. The game isn't bossy about how you tackle stuff - it gives you a bunch of clues through the story and lets you figure it out.

By the way, you're gonna love the admin room - it's like a mini vacation from the monster, at least up to a certain point?

buy this if you are an absolute Battlefield die-hard fan and even then, get in on sale. Game lacks identity and polish. Could have been the best Battlefield game, but content is severely lacking. Maybe in time, the devs can actually deliver on their promise but as of the moment, avoid this game.
