As far as simulator games goes I do quite highly recommend this game, particularly if you like a really active role in your store as you are almost always on the move. That said though the activity can border on stressful, even with decently trained staff, as sometimes a lot of things go wrong at once.

The game contains a lot of references and goofs which are somewhat amusing but at least give you a break from work and give you something on the side to work towards. I also appreciate how there is generally some sort of goal you are heading towards.

My biggest gripe with the game however is the matter of upgrades. The upgrades often cost a small fortune and for very incremental gain. I particularly find this with the Coin Washers as I often wondered what actual gain I was getting, past them not seemingly breaking down as much. I wish there was some sort of UI or information detailing what I'm actually paying for as you for the most part are just praying its better.

A interesting strategy game based in the lands of Japan. This game spans the period of time when lords were constantly fighting for territory. Considering that I'm writing this review without having played any of the other games made by the developer I can say that this game is good from my understanding of it. There are some pros and cons I feel that need to be brought up, though take into account I'm not a expert at evaluting games.

Pros:
-Somewhat addictive, possible to play this for hours. I keep finding myself returning to it.
-Quite fast-paced and fun depending on who you play
-An interesting take on Japan, relevant for those with some interest for that country
-Satisfies military and management minded people

Cons:
-Difficult. One moment you could have a lot of territory, the next thing you know half your nation is in civil war, which is tricky to manage (Though this could just be my skill!)
-A little hard to get into. I found it quite difficult to really understand what I was doing at the start.
-Unbiased starting positions. It is part of the game to choose who you want to be but sometimes it just seems impossible to play some nations.
-Those damn Ikko-ikki. Stop invading my territory ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥!

Sometimes a game is made that hasn't got the highest grade graphics, seems a bit simple and perhaps might be considered 'limited', but then that game is actually incredibly fantastic and you can easily play it for hours. Mount and Blade: Warband is a example of such a game. It is essentially a rpg strategy game which allows you to command epic armies into battle, as well as manage your fiefs (villages), castles and towns for your money. You create your character, give him a character background and lead him onto the battlefield.
As if management and battle wasn't enough for your medieval tastes, there is the option to marry noble ladies, get in good with local lords and even (if you work hard at it) work your way to becoming king of a land. Going over all these little details will quickly see you playing the game for whole days at a time. Most importantly however, it is just very fun! If the graphics hold up at one point it is during the most important part of the game...battle! Slashing your way through the ranks of the enemy has never felt so satisfying. So basically if you haven't got this game already, you better buy it!
