Remember the superior combat mechanics from older AC titles where you would parry enemy attacks and execute those poor souls on the spot? It is here and it is glorious.

This is a must if you like either of these games!

Strongly advise against buying it as long as CO does not throw all its resources on performance optimization.
It is somewhat tolerable if you turn the settings down like all guides suggest...

Which genius at CO came up with the glorious idea of loading the game behind the main menu and thus being greeted with under 10FPS right away?

The next problems to fix after that are already visible: The fire department extinguishes fires without water, the stadiums are empty, there is nothing going on in the schoolyards and buildings have no real construction going on like in Cities: Skylines 1, both for upgrades and new buildings.

I have hope since the actual fundamental mechanics are very good. However, there is still a lot of work to be done....

Feels new yet very nostalgic.
A true successor to the Wii Tanks minigame!

EDIT: With all hardcoded restrictions removed for modders, mods like Total Conquest 2.0 easily beat any newer TW game. Superior old engine mechanics and modded campaign experience are such a beautiful combination!

One of my first strategy experiences along with AOE, so glad to see this remastered!
Compared to the newer titles still a bit clunky, but mechanically superior!

With the family tree and politics system combined and both features giving you many possibilities to manage your faction, Rome 2 is finally one of the stronger games from CA.

Ubisoft hat auf seine Fans gehört und das DLC dem Season Pass hinzugefügt, womit ich keinen Daumen runter mehr rechtfertigen kann.

Einen Season Pass releasen der 2 von 3 DLCs enthält ist der Spielerschaft nicht gerade ehrlich, sofern nichtmal bekannt war, dass nach dem Orbit DLC mehr kommt.

Stattdessen kommt ein weiterer DLC, unter anderem mit dem gewünschtem Feature "Gegnerische Invasionen" und einem Anno-typischen Sektor, für den nochmal Geld verlangt wird.

Parallel kommt nach gerade mal einem Jahr die Königsedition des Spiels raus, womit man sich fragt, warum man eigentlich im Voraus bezahlt hat.

WTF Ubisoft, das hätte selbt EA besser hinbekommen.

Ubisoft hat wohl eingesehen, dass sie den Laden auf diese Weise gegen die Wand fahren.
Sie haben auf die Community gehört und Frontiers für Season Pass Besitzer freigeschaltet.
Sehr gut!

Da die Shopseite davon allerdings kein Wort erwähnt (sondern nur die Neuigkeiten), sollten neue Kunden fürs erste davon ablassen bis Klarheit besteht.

Season Pass enthält 2 von 3 DLCs, das hätte sogar EA besser hinbekommen.
Man bekommt hier 2 Sektoren, für die restlichen 3 Sektoren darf man extra zahlen.
