I just wasted my money

I played the game for over 180 hours then all of a sudden it crashes, and now I cannot start it. Game basically freezes at loading page before the main menu of the game. Tried reinstalling the game, checking files fix, running in compatibility mode. So far no success, utterly disappointed that cannot play my favorite game....

Is there any point in arranging alliances? 1) One can set them up, but the ally never comes to one's assistance. 2) The only nations that want to ally with you are so weak that you could be embroiled in a war on behalf of someone who can't help themselves....

I could swear there was a lotr mod. Where is it?

I tried several ways to play as the Engla, I always get so deep in debt that it becomes unplayable, you need the good units to fight the 2 Briton factions at the north so disbanding them is counter productive, the money taken after captuing a settlement are too poor to continue , after 3 turns if you didnt build anything or didnt lost sufficient men, you are already in huge debts. Starting with more money or less upkeep would be ideal. -You need money to build pagan shrines to avoid public order penalty/r...
