I can't bring myself to play this. I played SG2, it was not good. The devs closed SG1 and then realized "oh ♥♥♥♥, SG1 was actually good and we had lightning in a bottle." So they removed the one thing that made SG2 different from SG1 and just recreated SG1 in SG2.

They could have avoided all of this by just maintaining SG1. They had a game. It was good. People loved it. Then they killed it to try again for no reason. The hype is gone. Sure the code for SG1 may have been bad but then just remake the code, don't make a whole new game. If you're going to have to rewrite code either way, I'd say just stick with what is already working.

Highly recommend. I've tried to learn how computers actually work for years. While I understand the truth tables of logic gates, I couldn't really grasp how a full adder works or how it's used. I was never really able to understand how you go from 1's and 0's to a full graphical interface.

This simulator/game guides you through the journey to understanding but it doesn't hold your hand and lets you figure out and understand how to put the different crucial circuits together which makes it so much easier to understand them.

And the dopamine hit from finally solving a puzzle you've been stuck on for a while... ohhhh I love it. Idly ruminating on it during lunch only to suddenly see the missing piece and rush to try your solution. Writing down the different combinations of inputs and resultant outputs to try and see a connection. Circuitry was always a bit confusing to me but this game makes me want to build a real life computer.

The ending was a let down. I don't like games that force me to make a decision I don't agree with. Spoilers but we just murdered dozens of people! Why couldn't we broadcast the blueprints and designs for the technology back? Or better yet, say "fck those idiots on Earth, let's stay here and live in the only remaining habitable place in the solar system?" They constantly mention how "Earth is about to become just as uninhabitable as Mars". Unison was working. You don't know if the ARKs are actually going to save Earth. We just destroyed a semi-stable colony for a chance at saving a dying planet. Stupid.

Great game engine. First one I ever kept working on. Unity is great and all but it just wasn't interesting or costs money or something. Godot is perfect for me

It's a very good game though I'm unsure if Valve really cares about this game anymore. It has such great potential but from what I've heard, it's like they're ignoring it.

Edit: Yeah, they do care about it. The devs probably were moved to Half Life: Alyx so they couldn't work on it. We're getting small updates now which means that the devs are back to doing something.

Really great game, the plot is well thought out and care has been put into. You can see the developers made and develop the game because they care about the game, not the money they receive from it.

Absolutely amazing! Very addictive. Not a quick finish so if you like games that take a while then you might like this.
