Just a gamedev who works in Unity + C# and is learning C++ and Unreal too.
And as shown on my profile, I like gaming (a little too much).

I love board games, more so than video games and I've built quite the collection over recent years (hence my favorite "game" is Tabletop Sim) but not enough people play tabletop games nowadays :(
I also really love VR games. I own a Rift S and am always up for playing VR games when I have time :D

A bit about me and my interests for those interested
Hello there, the name's Caspian :D

I am a programmer who currently works in C++ with Unreal Engine 5. I also have experience with C# with Unity and I have worked with VR in Unity and C++ (OpenXR) as well.

I absolutely love tabletop games. Playing Board and Card games are my favorite way to spend time with others in real life, even if I seldom ever get to play any due to a lack of people irl to play with.

Aside from that, I love VR games as well. I have quite a few VR games on Steam which I'd love to play more but once again, don't have many people to play with.

When it comes to my favorite pc genre, it'd absolutely be roguelike/roguelite.

If you'd like to play some games with me that I recently played, feel free to let me know, I'd love to play some games with others, though do keep in mind that I am not great at keeping in touch (making choices is hard alright) :D

After playing this game for years, I can definitely say that this game has gone downhill. The game used to be super fun to play with tons of characters, maps, a couple modes and fun people.
These days, the champions that get released are broken, sometimes they are too OP, other times the characters just don't work/play properly, or both.
If you like games like Overwatch and want to see what would happen if it became a fantasy shooter with no clear goal, lore, roadmap and was stripped of a lot of funding and team members who work on it, then give it a try.
I only play because of the memories I have of this game, with the hopes of it being as great as it once was, but I wouldn't recommend anyone playing this regularly, or even against other players.

ORIGINAL REVIEW:
First a quick list of pro's and cons for anyone that doesn't like reading too much (certain aspects are explained in detail after the list):

Pro's:
Lots of skins
Lots of customization (titles, avatars, announcers, music etc)
Customizable gameplay (talents + loadouts)
Battle passes (since they contain lots of skins, offer fun (or sometimes frustrating) challenges and are free if you complete it (after purchase))

Cons:
Skins are often too expensive to get
Crystals (most valuable currency) is near-impossible to get
Customizable gameplay (more on why in both lists later)
Battle passes since they force you to play the game alot.

Amazing game that has alot of content and customization.
I have been playing this game since the open Beta's and have loved it ever since i started.
The game itself is really well made and the graphics look amazing too. There are tons of skins which make it even more fun to try and collect them all, the only sad part is that they are incredibly expensive since crystals are near-impossible to gain and the skins cost about 400 crystals each (epic, not rares).
The most fun part in my opinion is that you can customize your gameplay with the loadouts system, it allows the player to choose 5 out of 20 cards for a champion then you can set them all at a level of your choice (as long as it doesnt exceed the max points you can set), this combined with different talents for each champion makes it so you can choose how to play as certain champions and i really love that.
Again the bad part about that is that certain people can just choose to play damage as a healer and ruin the team, but that isn't the game's fault, it's that player's fault.
The community doesn't feel toxic to me or anything, it's just that there are some selfish or trolling people like in every other game, that is why the loadouts and talents system is both positive and negative.
Now, the populair thing games like to have all the time, the battle pass.
I personally think that battle passes in this game are among the most fair ones, you buy it (the newer ones are around 600 crystals) and if you complete the whole pass, you get 600 crystals back, meaning if you had 600 crystals you can buy every battle pass without having to spend any money, unlike most games where it costs real money to begin with.
Now i love having an objective in games, thats why i love this battle pass system. It gives you lots of challenges and even gives title(s) for completing half of them and title(s) for completing all of them.
I would like it if it would be in waves like it used to be, get to a certain level to unlock newer and harder quests instead of all at once, but i can understand why unlocking them all at once for anyone to complete would be nice to some.

Last words for the review would be these: I find the game really fun and so is customizing and trying new loadouts and skins, just wish that getting crystals would be a little easier.

If there are any mistakes in here I apologize since I don't have English as my native language.
Also yes I remembered that the I's need to be capitalized, sorry.

Hope this review helped in some way.
