This game is very lovely! Graphics are beautiful, story-lore is also beautiful but with some sadness. This game reminds me of a cross between Palia x Sea of thieves x a hint of ark survival evolved an a dash of kena: bridge of spirits. AND i feel like im Moana. The water is smooth which is hard to do, the game just released but like... its pretty polished! Worth the cost of the deluxe, which i bought. I hope they populate the ocean a bit more with more variants of sea life, an tweak some things but overall a solid A game from a non AAA dev company.

Gorillas sound like sick elephants.... theyve enclosed 4 male adult silverback gorillas together something that would NEVER Happen... you dont see anything scary pmuch for 2 1/2 hours into the game... as a streamer, who likes animals i was hoping for more scares an better visuals/audio... this game IS A HUGE DISSAPOINTMENT on so many levels. The innitial creature mutant... doesnt even CHASE you.... theres no mechanic to 'hide' no spray, no hiding hole or anything... like... the game as it is rn is a waste of money an time.

So, The game as it stands is fun. They are updating it seems on a fairly consistent basis which is nice. I do not feel its worth $20 currently, but can be in the future if they continue pushing with updates. The water is very nice visually, though it could definitely use less dead zones underwater for searching between areas and more sea life, like other fish some whales an maybe even a few more dangers like jellyfish an barracudas.

Its really a good start, especially if you play with friends can be fun. Sometimes crashes, but thats to be expected for how early access this is currently. Its very reminiscent of both Raft x the forest if you have NPCs allowed to attack you.

EDIT 9/27/23 ---> (THIS ISSUE HAS SINCE BEEN UPDATED to allow changing keybinds!) im not a fan however of NOT currently being able to re-keybind things. Overall its fun an worth a look.

7/11/2023 Update: I WOULD NOT buy any DLCs for this, until they update an fix a TON of the bugs that are known to be affecting the gameplay of MANY. Bruce has yet to address anything even in a official post to keep us updated. This game is still fun to play, but the bugs an glitches are very time consuming/not fun.

This game is VERY reminiscent of Stardew Valley, however it has 3x+ as much content. Well optimized, many pets you can get (even w/o the dlcs!) and has a mythical side to it which makes it all the more attractive to those who were looking for something more when it came to SdV. Also, not just pets... but Mounts. +2 other cities to explore, mini bosses and up to 8 players! Definitely worth full price, even if you just want to solo the game.

I love this game.

Nornally hate machines/robots/mechs etc but this game makes it fun, esp with the new flying machines addition.

Game is best when played with friends, an theyre updating things well enough to keep folks - including myself interested.

Pros:

Fun - esp with friends
Lots of room to play
Actively updating
Interesting updates - esp free ones
Story

Cons:

The bikes are now useless since the motorbikes addition (sure bicycles still quieter but ya get hella targeted way easier)
Not enough HEDP ammo
No real building (yet?)
Smoke Rocket propelled nades dont really work or do damage or last long at all
The machines can spawn/glitch into buildings #HeartattackCity

Worth the $25 imo but if you arent sure, wait for a sale.

As adorable and well done as t his game is, once youve closed it... you cant play it anymore. stuck in LOADING mode even if you steam validate files. So you basically have to reinstall it every time you want to play IF you dont complete it in one setting yer basically screwed. Which is a real shame honestly.

This game needs an overhaul, its pretty much dead. servers are dead, an the private ones are full of arses who only care about the little cliques theyve started. Seriously, its like depth - the only folks still playing are the ones with 23958209357230958 hours an know every trick/hack/tactic so playing for those who are new is pretty much useless because who wants to be killed continuously an get no where? not to mention you cant unlock any of the cool skins because, well see above. it takes gameplay time to unlock things to have in order to craft new things so yea... not a great game at all an this is coming from someone who is OBSESSED with dinosaurs

This game is severly broken. The company is well aware of the big issues, yet instead of hiring ppl to fix the game first... they just drop PAID DLCs continuously, milking us like cash cows and most ppl are stupid enough to buy said dlcs an keep playing even when were ignored.

screw this company. screw this game and any other game theyve got their hands on. Seriously, dont waste your time, i lost ALL my stuff i earned because of a BUG that has happened for years... an theyre aware of it an theirs nothing players can do but suffer.
