The developers have helpfully notified us on Discord that the game is 25% off in the Steam Spring Sale. Sounds like a bargain for a game that hasn't had any updates or meaningful information from the dev team in over a year. Happy gaming!

It sure is looking like this game has been abandoned by the developers. No postings, no updates, no feedback from the developers since the last update. I reached out to the developers on their website a couple of weeks ago and received no response. Can't get any information on Sunkenland. It looks like they have moved on to working on other games.
