Fortune's family split up due to the freak accident of his mother's uterus being stretched too wide by Fortune's obese body at birth, giving her an agonising and brutal death. The family decided to throw him away and he was raised in an orphanage, but always secretly resented people with parents and tried to make fun of them whenever he could.
