Alien isn't balanced, I wont change this to positive until they make the alien have 1-3 lives max and when they stop banning/deleting posts on their feedback forums.

First off, this DLC is fantastic. Most of the Negative Reviews aren't justified reviews.
Before I get into why I think this DLC is great, I want to touch on the 2 most common negative reviews I have seen.
1. Poor Performance - I have a PC that I bought in the beginning of 2017, I have a PC that is 8 Years old and I play on 2k on max graphics at around 40-60 FPS. with very FEW occasional drops down into the 20's that happens once every few hours and never in a spot where it inconvenienced a fight. If you have a terrible/outdated PC that is not a justifiable negative review. The game is not poorly optimized nor is the DLC. I understand my performance is due to my aging PC. Just like you know your poor performance is due to your terrible PC.

2. Bosses/Enemies are too difficult - They are not, they are definitely stronger than the base game content. Which is fantastic because Elden Ring's base game is one of the easiest soulslike games we've gotten. My biggest disappointment in Elden Ring was that the bosses were too easy and mobs as well. This DLC fixes that for the most part, People want games to be easy, wants there to be a difficulty slider, thats not how these games work and lets pray they never work like that in the future. These games are meant to test your patience, your skill, your willingness to learn mechanics and make a somewhat melodic fight between you and your target, this DLC does that way more than the base game and it is fantastic. You have the right to say its too hard, you have the right to complain.

My takes on the DLC.

1. The DLC is much harder than the base game, which is exactly what this game needed because the base game was too easy. The enjoyment of learning bosses/mobs like the base game but actually has more punishment forcing you to improve and hone your skills.

2. The map is bigger than I thought we were going to get and I love it. Plenty of new biomes, mobs and new mechanics introduced with some of these new zones is a new and welcomed addition compared to the base game. I haven't explored all the darkest corners of the map but there is a lot I have found and I guarantee you a lot I haven't found. More hidden walls than the base game by a large margin.

3. The amount of new items 70-100 new weapons, 10 new shields, 39 new talismans, 14 new sorceries, 20 new spirit ashes, 25 new ashes of war , 30 new armor sets and a bunch of new consumables and craftables. There is a lot to farm, earn and look forward too, I 100% games and I try to get every single piece of armor, weapon and all the new sorts, I am a collector in this game so I was pleased to hear how many new items were introduced.

All in all this DLC was easily worth the price, the difficulty was increased by a lot, and the map is big. If you dont have a PC capable of running this game or your patience is low with your skill level. Then dont get the game, but do not take the negative reviews seriously if they are complaining about difficulty or performance. Like I mentioned above my hardware is 8 years old and I run it perfectly fine.

I can not and will not recommend this game to anyone anymore.

I saw another post saying if its $5 on a sale sure, pick it up. This game was one of the best games we have had released to gamers in a long time, They made a huge mistake by locking out countries and its communities forcing you to create a PSN account and closing off every country that didn't have access. After that massive mistake which fueled an extreme amount of negative reviews, they changed it. New leads of the game said that it wouldn't happen again and make it better and to regain trust over a period of time. That road to recovery did start until it stopped a short while up that same road, constant nerfs, developers making fun of the players. This was a casual game with one of the best communities we've seen in an extreme amount of time and they lost it, the game is in a state of decay and its nearing extinction. They will not recover and I hope they do not until they fix what they had broken. They need to revert all weapons back to their original state and keep the buffs that they implemented to things that needed them. This is not a competitive game, we dont need nerf patches every 5 days.

The game itself is decent, but the microtransactions and progression could definitely use some work.

It's a good game, for free or discounted probably. I just don't believe that it has enough content or even planned content to be worth picking up. I was told they shortened their roadmap, and is filled with a lot of "Maybe we will fix multiplayer, Maybe we will add more content"

Here are my problems with it

-Lack of Ores, and Tools (Stone, Flint, Bronze, Iron, Blackmetal) You can get all of these within a day if you know what you are doing. You can get by most of the game without even upgrading most of these tools, obviously the weapons help and armor a fair bit, but it wasn't recommended to go through the hassle of making a better pickaxe or hatchet because it doesn't make much of a difference, not when you have a boss ability that basically allows you to cut down a forest in half a minute. (You do need some upgrades to be able to chop down a certain tree for higher quality wood)

-Lack of Difficulty as well as Mobs/Bosses (Variations of other existing creatures that hit harder) You can find a 15ft tall giant ogre that can kill you in 4 hits, or go into the plains biome and get 1 tapped by a gremlin the size of a shoe and a stick. Never been a fan of artificial difficulty like, just because that land is farther away all the monsters are way stronger, for example the "DeathSquito" a Mosquito of death, rather big for a mosquito, but will hit harder than most of the bosses in the game. All the bosses are lackluster and can be exploited because Ai Pathing and attacks are all terrible, same with the all the trash mobs around the world. All mobs and bosses have the same strike patterns and like 1 attack, all you need to do is create a halberd and stab once, back up, stab once back up, stab once back up, and thats how you fight everything in the game. Each of the bosses have a very easy to exploit "Cheese" to kill them all, whether its standing on a rock or going 2 feet underground so they Ai loses aggro. No dodging or blocking is involved even though its a part of the game, I have all of the end game equipment and all I have ever done is poke, back up, poke, back up. That's how hard the game is.

-Teleporters, The game requires you to be on the move a lot, which I am fine with, but you can't carry a lot and sometimes you can be on a 30 minute to a 2 hour hike to get materials, Luckily you can build teleporters to get you back to your base quickly, but wait! Not if you have metal or quest/boss items! You become teleporter blocked if you have pretty much anything you need to "Upgrade" meaning you will have to run 2 hours back in the same direction to drop off enough metal to make you one pickaxe, a helmet and a chest piece, and that can be on one island too, if you run dry on resources on your island you have to take to the seas and that adds even more complications to it.

-Base Building, I do actually like the base building for the most part, but a lot of it is very inconvenient, Having to move your workbench around with a roof cause you cant build anything without it, and the range is I guess enough if you are building a smaller house, but I have bigger aspirations, so I like to make bigger houses and sometimes even villages and small towns. So having to move around or craft benches everywhere gets really annoying. The floor clipping looks terrible as well as the roof clipping.

-The World, The world is in fact massive, but it is littered with the small tiny enviroments you see all of maybe not the plains for a little bit, but you see most of them early on, and all it is, is the same tiny small biome with limited resources so when you clean out your first "Black Forest" in 15 minutes, you need to find another one to get more copper. Eventually leading you off island. To make a 30 minute boat ride to a new island as well as a 45 minute walk, to get back the 1 copper you found along the way.

A few things I like are

-Music, The music is great in this game, very relaxing for a 95 minute hike home with enough metal for a cup and a knife to stab yourself with.

Graphics, the game is very beautiful, paired with the wonderful storms and the lighting is very good.

All in all, I'd pay $10 or less for it.
