I love Wheatle y

Undoubtedly the best Half-Life 1 mod we’ve gotten since Half-Life: Echoes. It has a lovely, believable, lore friendly story and setting that fits in perfectly with the world of Half-Life, which you could say is rare for Half-Life mods, and the amount of detail and love put into this mod is unmatched, but the excessive head-exploding is a bit much. My only problem is that as another user put it; "every chapter tends to overstay it's welcome." The mod makes great use of pre-existing voice lines from the main games, and is able to get pretty far with them. The game emulates the feeling of Half-Life, its expansions, and early GoldSrc mods perfectly, while not being primitive at all. The game’s art style is lovely too, and is very reminiscent to that of the leaked alpha builds of Half-Life 1. The Xen chapters are lovely visually, but gameplay wise, not so much. Fantastic mod overall! My personal favorite mod for Half-Life.

ABANDONWARE, DO NOT BUY

Unfortunate that it turned out this way, cause it’s a really cool idea. It’s like Voices Of The Void but instead of a SETI researcher, you're some random guy with a UFO interest. It doesn't have nearly as much content and activities to do as VOTV, but I previously had faith that this would change over time. The game runs better on lower end devices than VOTV does. I like the feature of the automatic placement of purchased items, but I think there should be an option to turn that off so players can put bought items wherever they want if they want to. It would be nice to be able to pick up props in general.

The game is far too early in development to have to be paid for, and should remain in early access for the time being, even with there being a demo. It has plenty of bugs, and there are even certain features labeled by devs as Works In Progress. No updates or communication from the devs on discord.

If you’re a UFO enthusiast like me, this game is abandonware, and you’re better off playing VoTV.

By far the most relatable Half-Life game and protagonist. When you're Gordon Freeman or Adrian Shephard, the whole world revolves around you. You're on a world saving mission in which the fate of the Earth and all its inhabitants lies within your hands, everyone knows who you are and respects you, and everyone at your next destination anticipates your arrival and is waiting to aid you or fight you. But in this, as Barney Calhoun, you're just some random low level security guard trying to get out of the place alive.
