DoubleFine did it again!

3 years of early access to create a game where little jelly men punch eachother across a tiny variety of thread-bare arenas and somehow it's worse than ever.

Why does it run ♥♥♥♥♥♥ now?

Why can't I select my native res now?

Why does the knockout punch seem more arbitrary than ever now?

Why does my sombrero get stuck at the beginning of every round and then tear across the screen, creating an ugly blur of brown wherever I go?

Why have the physics been altered as to create less funny moments?

Why is the camera pulled in so close that I have no idea what is happening in the fight outside my very immediate vicinity?

Why is this significantly worse than previous builds and why the ♥♥♥♥ are you now calling it finished?

Why is there still only a handful of maps when they clearly aren't difficult to make?

Why are you so ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ lazy!!!?

Don't spend your money on this. Give it to someone who cares.

A point of clarification: DoubleFine is only the guy in charge with all the money telling the developers what they should and shouldnt do. They have nothing to do with the development itself! Really! I swear!

Is it to much to ask for publishers to give a damn what they're publishing though? Are we imagining there's no oversight?

Publishers are relevant to how a game is delivered. Do we not give EA ♥♥♥♥ when they repeatedly deliver cynical ♥♥♥♥, regardless of which subsidiary is actually developing it? Double Fine is fully earning its new reputation as incompetent.
