Hard to do this to my favorite roguelike, but I do not support anything gearbox has done as of the recent patch and dlc. Made the game the most broken it's ever been. I am honestly impressed they managed to screw it up so incredibly badly.

Early Access Review
So far I've had good experiences with this game! For early access their are little to no bugs and I haven't had any real problems with the functionality of the game. Though there are a couple things that I think would be great going forward.
--Add more dangers before you unlock the Mejai's door. I'm not sure what, but when me and my friends played it, we found the "gathering evidence" phase to be painfully slow. This could be because of player skill, or difficulty. We only played up to normal on a medium map size. I'm sure I'm not the first person to express this but I thought it was important
--A bit more guidance to help the player through the tomb raiding would be really helpful! The game isn't that hard to figure out on your own, but then again I've played Phasmophobia before it so maybe it was just me and my friends. But I think a tutorial would be fantastic to get new players invested in the game. As for what it would look like, I think it should include an small explanation of how each of the evidence types work. Maybe it's me, but there were a couple evidences that we could never get. Those being magnetic disturbances and radioactivity. We sat their for ages with the Geiger Counter and we never got anything.
As I'm typing this I'm finding many problems that these fixes also bring up but I didn't not want to mention them. I'm fully aware that the game is in early access but I really want to see it grow. I think there is a lot of potential to make a really nice game here and I'm honestly excited to see what the future may hold.

April 3rd, 2020 I left a review not recommending this game but after the small update valve released, Its become a lot better. No more lagbots, I can't remember the last time I saw a hacker. (Can't speak for everyone tho) So take away from this, get the game. It's a lot of fun and wacky and really different in style compared to other fps games.

If anyone's curious, here is what my old review said,
"I should be recommending this game. Its one of the best fps games I've ever played. There are two reasons why I'm not recommending. 1. Valve doesn't give two flying ♥♥♥♥♥ about this game anymore and if they do, only on VERY rare occasions will they tell us whats actually happening. 2. As of 4/3/2020 the game is filled with hackers and lag bots. Imagine you get home from work or school or whatever and you just wanna sit down and enjoy a game of tf2. You get placed in a match and a bot named COVID- 9 // ♥♥♥♥♥♥ 15 joins with you. They lag the server so its unplayable and if you kick them, the server crashes. What is valve doing? nothing. It's a fantastic game, but It's absurd that finding a server to actually be able to play on is becoming rare."
