Shinji...I don't get why he gets all the hate. FSN is just written to make him out as the bad guy, when really he's no worse than any of the "protagonists" and a better person than most of them.

What are the main complaints? He raped Sakura and stole Rider to use in the war?

Okay, let's get this straight. He never ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ raped Sakura. He never did it. He never did it. He never did it. He never did it. He ♥♥♥♥♥♥ Sakura.

Let me ask you this, WHO IN THE GAME DIDN'T ♥♥♥♥ SAKURA? You can't even name one ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ character who hasn't plugged her loose ♥♥♥♥! She is the kind of ♥♥♥♥♥ who will act like she doesn't want it when she really does. She'll say "No!" while having multiple orgasms. Shinji knew this. He's a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ ladies man. He knows what filthy ♥♥♥♥♥♥ like Sakura want.

And there's this other big ♥♥♥♥♥ you guys have with him. He supposedly stole Rider and used her in the war for his own greed.

Objection! He was worried about his one and only precious sister. Is keeping your loved ones from a brutal war so wrong? When Shirou does the same thing to Saber it's like "He's so manly", but when Shinji does it it's wrong? He just wanted to protect Sakura. He probably was going to use his Holy Grail wish to tighten her ♥♥♥♥ back up or cure her Syphilis or something.

The story was written to make that ♥♥♥♥♥♥ Shirou look good. Objectively, Shinji is a far better character than Shirou. At least he has the balls to take action decisively instead of ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ around like Shirou, and if he weren't stuck with the weak ass servant Rider and no plothax he probably would have won the war.

Anyone else notice the abnormally high amount of child predators in the Nasuverse?

In Fate Stay Night-
Shirou Emiya in Fate Stay Night is 17 years old. Saber is King Arthur following his death. King Arthur dies at the earliest at the age of 35.

Saber looks like a 15 year old, but that's explicitly stated to be exclusively a physical thing. Her mind is that of the 35+ year old lady she chronologically is.

In the Fate route, Saber falls in love with Shirou and they screw twice and then she tells him to continue his effort to be a hero forever for her sake, to one day meet again in Avalon and enjoy an eternal honeymoon. The 35 year old woman falls in love with the 17 year old, doesn't reject his advances, and then tells him to marry her later when he's old enough to.
In Fate Grand Order-

Now, FGO doesn't have any canon romances... technically. While several characters can flirt with the main character, the main character never actually responds in any way that couldn't also be interpreted as platonic, even for Mash or Castoria.

With one exception. Lancer Artoria Pendragon.

Lancer Artoria Pendragon has an interlude which inexplicably gives the Master the option to confess their love for her and she reciprocates. This is rather bizzare since there's no option not to confess, so it seems your self-insert character just suddenly develops sentience for this single purpose like Ultron but with a mommy fetish instead of a genocidal rage against humanity.

This technically makes Lancer Artoria Pendragon the canon love interest for the protagonist. This of course is incredibly stupid, so we just ignore it and pretend it didn't happen, but it is technically canon since it's never retconned or anything and nothing contradicts its existence.

Here, Lancer Artoria Pendragon, is of course, the exact same age as regular Saber Artoria Pendragon. She looks more like an adult though, making the age disparity more obvious since the Master of Chaldea is stated to be below drinking age in part 1 of the Singularities, and then, 2 years later following the start of the Lostbelts, they're still stated as being unable to drink. As the drinking age in Japan is 20, they're 17 at the latest at the beginning of the game in Part 1 which is also when Lartoria's interlude chronologically occurs. The Master is the same age as Shirou at 17.

Thus, Ritsuka Fujimaru too, must suffer grooming.
