I used to love elite. Still the best space sim out there in 2024. However the excessive grind mechanics attached to everything was what unfortunately made me quit. I still had hope Frontier would eventualy make the game more accessible to people with less free time.

Unfortunately, this dream is gone. With elite going PAY2WIN there is no way Frontier will ever balance the game loop. They just proved that it's bad by design.

Can even get myself to finish the main quest. UI is horrendus and the game play loop is to look at your oxygen bar. Also run like ♥♥♥♥ on a rtx3070. The space game part is to look at loading screen while traveling between world. Story is on railroad there is no real choice. The dialogs are blend. This game is the definition of quantity over quality.

The fact that the devs still don't acknowledge that the game has major issues is a very good sign that there wont be a major overhaul update in the future like Cyberpunk or No man sky.

To avoid unless you get it for 10$

♥♥♥♥ all game that ♥♥♥♥ on their community by banning modding project. Personnaly I was excited to be able to play Vrchat with my new valve index but I will not be able to since I am running on linux.
Shame.
