If you're coming from the state of mind that it'll be like Rimworld; it's similar, but there are currently a few things that differ from the chaotic Rimworld experience. The lack of combat being one of the biggest differences (in my opinion) and the overall slower pace of the game.

That being said this game is great and I miss food and sleep. The Devs are very active especially in the Discord community and respond to suggestions - which is one of the best things to see for a game. It's definitely a little gem and I can see why so many people have sunk hundreds of hours into it.

More of a "Horror Comedy" than a "Psychological Horror". The dialogue was good, the graphics are decent, the puzzles are (mostly) intuitive, but the story leaves more to be desired, specifically the ending.

I am honestly inclined to leave a negative review just for the ending alone; I was expecting something more drawn out and the ending felt very sudden and like a complete misdirect. Truly, I enjoyed the game until this point, just the ending felt very akin to the show Lost, where you are wondering what the point was the entire time with an ending like that .

I really like this game and I keep wanting to play it, but every time I do there are just countless bugs and I doubt there will be any additional content to make the game feel more complete. Extremely disappointed in the development team for starting this amazing concept but not finishing it - not to mention the subpar mod support, so it's not like the community can save this game either.

Picking this up and I'm very disappointed by the lack of workshop support.

Don't get me wrong, this game has a lot of good things going for it. I just can't recommend it at its current state for multiplayer specifically - from the host crashing 3-5 times in a row for us to play for an hour until it does it again, to items disappearing, to randomly the joining player is immortal or has the world's slowest metabolism. The bugs are unpredictable and frustrating.

Prefacing my review with saying I play with my partner, and I like to play with a Dualshock controller, not with mouse/keyboard (I struggled with previous Dark Pictures Anthology games with mouse/keyboard controls). My partner and I have played every game in the series at least once.

The Devil in Me brings in a couple of new game mechanics that I found interesting. This game relied a little less on the Keep Calm skill checks and added in a few items that could be pulled out in scenes to aid your story. I thoroughly enjoyed the first game in The Dark Pictures Anthology series, and this game reminds me a lot of it. Especially with the fact that this game was actually quite scary, and had a real sense of danger that the first game had, but the following games weren't up to par with. This game checks the need for decent horror.

THE GAME GETS BETTER AFTER THE BEGINNING. In the beginning story line, the voice actors were very bizarre and the faces of the characters didn't quite align. It put me off to the game at first and I genuinely almost stopped playing because of it. I'm glad that I pushed through the beginning part and got to the real story. I can understand the poor reviews from the beginning, but TRUST, it gets so much better.

Overall the game is a 7/10 in my opinion. Of course there is your typical camera angle struggles but that just comes with the game series.

This game is amazing for its kind. The soundtrack is beautiful and fun to listen to on its own! The gameplay is much similar to a story line, and you have a narrator following everything that you do. The narrator isn't as annoying as you'd imagine, and often has humourous and sarcastic lines. Not a good game to do a let's play on, I don't think, but anybody is willing to try! I really enjoy playing this game.

This game is a very unique MMORPG that deserves a chance to be played!

The graphics are indeed dated, but with a lot of time and effort you can give your character a unique look of its very own!

However, the controls are difficult to get used to. Unlike most MMORPG, you actually can create unique characters with unique skills and quest lines! The PvP is a matter of skill rather than strength, and gets to become very in-depth.

The lore is very interesting as well.
