This game is very fun, but could use a better tutorial. It has rollback netcode and replay takeover, and crossplay is on the way. It's already somewhat difficult to find other beginner players, but the community is very willing to help new players learn!

me 2 hours into this game: okay, I think I am starting to understand what's going on.
me 10 hours into this game: okay, NOW I think I am starting to understand what's going on.
me 20 hours into this game: WHAT IS GOING ON?!?!
me 40 hours in: dang, there are a lot of puzzles left for me to solve.

This is an incredible slow-burn puzzle game. If you like puzzles, play it.

A delightful game. Short and sweet. Most of the puzzles are pretty easy. The game's controls are intuitive and the atmosphere as well as look and feel are very well fleshed-out.

This game is phenomenal. It feels like an upgraded version of Link to the Past. Great fights, great puzzles, great music and visual style. This game is a lot of fun and a good challenge too.

A lovely game! I like the visual style and atmosphere. The story is simple but kept me interested. The puzzles gently increased in difficulty to a reasonable level. Honestly, I would be interested in a more difficult sequel. This game has plenty of meat on its bones with all the fat trimmed off. There is a little bit of backtracking but if you're solving the puzzles then it's not too much, and you get to enjoy a second perspective on what you've already experienced.

Most importantly, the game is fun!

A beautiful game from start to finish. The amount of effort poured into this really shines through. The story is excellent. I'll be playing this again, for sure.

This game has excellent stories, intriguing puzzles, and some very compelling settings. The text-based adventure sections, despite being very short, still suffer from the "what-the-heck-am-I-supposed-to-type" problem that text-based adventures tend to have, but these bits are short and simple enough that it is not frustrating. Each chapter is better than the previous one, culminating in a powerful finale. Chapter 1 is a little scary in a creepy fashion but don't let that put you off. This game manages to pack a real punch in a short timeframe!

The characters and story are very cliché. The art is good... aside from the cutscenes, which seem to have been done at half the resolution of the rest of the game. The music is fine, but forgettable. The game mixes hack-and-slash with platforming in approximately equal parts; I personally prefer an emphasis on the platforming part. The actual platforming is very generic. They stuck the challenging platforming bits in optional zones, which I think is good, but the reward for completing these bits is lackluster.

I feel it's kind of a shame when I consider a game being short to be a good thing. This is one of those games.

I really wanted to give SFV a good review. I really did. But I can't. This game has received some genuinely attrocious support since launch. There are way too many problems that existed in the beta and were reported to Capcom that are still present, and in the meantime Capcom is busy pushing updates that merely add costumes or make the experience even worse.

The most recent update is the last straw for me -- Capcom added a kernel-level driver that is extremely suspicious and seems flat-out unsafe. Many PC players can't even run the game anymore. And despite the fact that I can, I am compelled to uninstall it.

This isn't how a company should treat their customers.

I really hope this game's issues get fixed properly.

Edit: the mentioned driver has since been removed. Unfortunately, this game still needs several more fixes before it earns a thumbs-up from me.

A gorgeous game that doesn't hold your hand. The Witness feels very similar to MYST. It makes you feel alone but not lonely. It makes you feel a need to explore without making you feel trapped. The puzzles are not TOO hard provided you don't try to solve the hardest ones first, but there are several that provide quite a challenge. The game provides very intelligent ways for you to find hints on your own. You are never trapped in one area. The story is not as rich as I'd like, but overall it's a great game.
