Its Diablo 2 meets Risk of Rain meets horde survival. It has a very reasonable price tag. It has a good amount of content to unlock/work towards. Honestly after playing for a bit, I would've been ok paying up to 25$ for this as long as more content is added down the road.

The gameplay is fast and insanely addictive. The soundtrack is ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ perfect I cant even recall the last time ive left the game music so loud for any title. Also yoyo throwing femboy trans is poggers.

Ignore the reviews about que times. All of those are from fools trying to make characters in the most heavily populated realms. Theres plenty of full servers with lower que times. The longest I've had to wait was 25 minutes. The games combat feels good and the weapon system is unique. The skill system is reminiscent of runescape like everyone says but its different enough to feel unique. The game is good, ignore all the REE's complaining about the que times. They did it to themselves.

It's the only game I will get extremely mad at and be happy about it at the same time. I'm pissed when i make a dumb mistake and it costs me a race. However i'm happy the game isn't holding my hand and giving me handicaps. It forces you to improve.

10/10 would not listen to co driver callouts again

Ok so here we go.

The game is great. It's extremely fun to play even when dying like a casual over and over, and there is 100% a learning process. Beating the first few bosses makes you feel confident until you get to the "real" bosses. Then everything in your life goes downhill from there. You start losing sleep at night about how you almost killed the dancer but got stun-locked to death. You get ptsd about that time you thought you killed the abyss watchers, only to have the final form shoved up your ass. And don't forget the good ol optional big boi, grand daddy nameless king. There is a reason they made him optional and it will be obviouse when you get there.

BUT WAIT THERES MORE

Don't forget the glourious PvP!!! Even though the arena seems to be dead, there are still plenty of people at the OG Pontiff bonfire, so go make some kid your ♥♥♥♥♥ until you see "A connection error has occured" and realise he Alt+ f4'd on your ass. HUSSAH! (It will happen 24/7 so have fun)

Oh, and theres dlc too. It really completes the game IMO. However I personally wouldve liked to see more weapons and armor. (Let's ignore the idea that they couldve make rare armor for the boss souls too but they didn't)

The Ashes DLC was enjoyable. It was a fresh new enviroment with unique enemies. However it can feel short for some players.

Then you have the Ringed City. Man oh man those bosses were something else. I didn't think the Nameless King fight would be out-done, however Slave Knight Gale had my anus puckered tight once he entered that final stage.


10/10 Would Cry Again

Ok so I've heard the game was pretty good. I got it for free, so decided to play it anyways just to check it out. I'm not huge on platformers but they can be enjoyable.

Cons

the movement is super uncomfortable (jumping feels "restricting" if that makes any sense)
70% of you're deaths will be related to the movement mechanics ^
Alot of the early game is "die and learn" instead of "play, learn, improve"
I spent alot of the early game dying then being overly cautious of everything making the game harder to enjoy.

Pros

(If you were like me, you got it free)
The art style is actually really refreshing even though theres no color. (although the way they tried to make "layers" on the world gave me a eye sore after a while)
I like the minimalistic design of everything


Overall if you got the game free, go ahead and give it a try because you might as well. If you're considering paying $10, I'd just save the money. It's a good game, but not worth that price for the content.

For being free it is a fun game at first. Then you realize the people winning either have aim or wall hacks. 90% of the time spent after the inital 2 minutes are running twords the center only to be killed by some kid camping in a house.
