I will update this review as time passes. This is after all an Early Access Title in development.

Currently I don't recommend the average player thats hunting for a new MMO to pick this one up.
Outside of the server issues, silly bugs, more serious show stopping bugs that have fully stopped my partner from playing.

The games loops are incredibly grindy. Hours and Hours sitting in fields hitting NPC's waiting to die in fields.
Press F - Gather Resource. Does not matter what it is. Your going to press F and wait for an animation.
Trade Runs - Running packs is probably the most fun bit with friends but.. your basically content for PVP. Pro or Con depending how you feel about PvP.
Its fairly standard MMO Combat. - Soft Tab Targeting. Better than most older MMO's. Classes feeling very "WoW" inspired.
The "City Building" is basically waiting for a City XP Bar to fill before the next level city spawns. We watched 5 tents turn into a full walled city instantly. The only thing you build is just a hand full of structures scattered around. Feels like more busy work that actual city building.

Its unfinished. At this stage I don't recommend it for anyone that isn't interested in watching an MMO Develop.

Hot mess of a multiplayer system.
The base game is impressive. You can see the years of work in the different versions. Detailed unit management, The BREAD AND BUTTER of this game is its conquest mode. Its a blast. Mods are fun as well.
It be a hell of a lot better if they built in some proper multiplayer. for an example.. conquest.

Conquest multiplayer has it so only the host can make any choice between missions. Once they have chosen the force, research and the map they then can choose to host a multiplayer match. Players can join but will get no units till the game starts. individual units are then assigned to the players. This isn't saved between missions, all players are disconnected after a match and you start all over. It takes longer to setup than a match takes to play. Please add persistant server joining in the next title.

No Save in the Campaign mission
You can now player Skirmish against A.I without playing multiplayer but its not designed for it. Maps are way to large for that.
No info on hostile units in the field. So your going to spend a lot of time wondering why a fight turned out away that it did.
Jumpy FPS but only on some maps.

Maybe let it bake a little more before diving in.

Its fine.... but not a general recommendation.

Very linear experience. Ran it with 4 players in coop. Can't imagine this on the harder difficulties solo.
I'd only recommend it and ghost bear dlc if your super interested in the world-space. Game play leans mostly towards taking the heaviest mech you have available. Most maps are closed in single direction fights with very little "play" in how you approach combat. Has basically moved away from any kind of combined arms and is almost fully focused on Mech VS Mech gameplay to detriment of the series. No picture in picture zoom and all fighters are at incredibly close range.

Hope you like boss fights. This has them... Sorta. Mostly it boils down to "hit it harder".
Production value of the cutscenes are probably the best part.

Unstable FPS, Buggy Damage System, 2013 gameplay almost exactly as SE was when it originally released. Wrapped in better graphics for 30$
Whats here isn't recommendable yet. Will update this review as the game develops. For now. Save your money or pick up SE1 if you don't already have it.

Do do enjoy RTS titles for the cooperative Gameplay? If not.. This probably isn't for you.

5 Player Coop for all the campaign modes. Tech Tree's for each player to customize there force with through those campaigns. A bunch of Battalions to mix and match you and your friends army for the next mission.
We have very few RTS titles that have proper cooperative modes let alone campaign coop. Beyond that. If your only interested in the title for solo play then look at past titles in the series. Maybe keep an eye on this one for sales or if we see some major updates.

Yes. Its good. Really good. Gooder than Good. Its Super good.

Hands down one of the best Star Wars titles. Its modding community has created so much good content for this title its unreal. From the clone wars to the Remake mod.. its got hours of fun to be had.
