Crouch tech sucks, Option selects suck and the hard knockdown to 50/50 guessing game sucks... apart from those little issues this game is amazing. Lots of depth and variety as long as you stay away from Ryu and Ken. It might not be the easiest fighting game to pick up and do well in right off the bat since the player base is so matured. You're going to run into a lot of players that use gimmicks to win online, especially at low levels. Once you figure out their tricks and how to counter them the game starts being fun again. There's nothing more boring then fighting someone who relies on a single tactic or move to win. The training mode is pretty good at teaching you basic moves and combos. If you want to get competitive with this game I suggest you learn crouch teching and to a much lesser extent a few other option selects once your execution is up to par.

This game can be both simple and incredibly complex. I know a lot of local players that think they know how to play this game yet they lose to me consistently with a random character select. They don't loose because I'm an amazing player and know how to play every character in this game. They loose because they don't take the time to learn how to play with different characters and refuse to learn crouch tech and other advanced techniques. I'm not even that good of a player really, I'd say I'm above average. If I were to guess I'd say I have over 5000 hours worth of experience/play time in between all the versions of Street Fighter 4 on PC and console. I don't have as much free time to devote to this game as I used to lol.

TLDR: Great game, Easy to pick up, Hard to master
