I only recommend this for people with:

• Too much free time
  
• Autism
  
• High tolerance for jank and bugs

The core gameplay for the first tens of hours is working which is mostly driving the sewage truck and tractor to make money, the other jobs while cool and all are not worth it for the time investment. Building the car takes too long because getting parts is RNG and you may not get a necessary part for many IRL hours. It took me 65 hours to get the car running in my first playthrough. But getting the car to start for the first time is very satisfying and it is fun to drive around, certainly more than the satsuma.

The biggest problem with this game for me is that finishing the car build is the endgame. There is not much to do after getting to this point other than the rally and the ice track race. In the first game the car you build is a part of the early/midgame loop because you can get it so early. Then you can earn money and upgrade the car and use it to run errands etc until you finally get it fully upgraded.

But I'm sure the dev will add more stuff to do in later updates and currently he is fixing issues daily as it is a new release with many bugs. I still recommend this game in its current state because I certainly enjoyed the game a lot despite the issues.

Great potential and a lot of love clearly went into this. I however can't recommend this game because of two core issues for me: unsatisfying physics and bs enemy AI.

I loved the drift physics of the first demo, throttle and steering angle actually had to be controlled to prevent spinning out and drifting felt great when getting the hang of it but here it is dumbed down significantly to nfsu levels. Even with all the assists turned off the car still counter steers for me in corners like it's burnout. It makes drifting boring as hell and spinning out almost impossible, at least with the upgrades I had before I had to give up playing the career because the grip races were too difficult. Skill issue? Maybe, but when the opponent is faster in a straight line AND grippier in the corners I think it's a little unfair. Also the cars understeer way too much resulting in the grip driving feeling like driving a honda civic on ice.

I gave it a try every year since owning it from 2021 or something but never got far because I lost motivation from dying over and over again in the first proper level, High Wall of Lothric. Now I finally got into it properly and beat it. I now agree that it is one of the best RPGs ever made. I should probably get elden ring...

Fun board game to waste time with friends with surprisingly deep strategy and silliness. The amount of DLC to unlock everything is too much though.

I feel like kid playing a classic NFS for the first time. I completed it in two sittings and it has the potential to be the best modern arcade racer.

That said, the game is not perfect. The AI still needs some work, it's bad to just rely on adjusting the rubber band (patch 997→998), instead it should just be more skillful in general and abide by the same rules as the player, instead of the opponent car doing crazy dodge maneuvers in 300kmh speeds and weighing as much as a churchill tank. The game is heavily reliant on the AI's behavior after all and it's my biggest gripe with this game. Before the newest patch, I lost 18 times, won 40 times. After it, I have lost 0 times. Maybe add a difficulty setting as well?

Cool old-school-Battlefield type game with some unique mechanics.

Pros:
-Runs well
-Gunplay feels good, with a good progression and customization system
-No battle pass or any other monetization BS
-Good devs (at least right now) They listen to feedback, care about cheaters and every map has a rating tab for flaws in the map.
-The game is very sociable thanks to the proximity chat, you become the voice actor of the soldier you are playing and it's hilarious. I have encountered many battle cries, medic chants, screams of terror, and much more.
-I have not encountered any blatant cheaters yet.

Cons:
-Sounds are hard to locate where they are coming from sometimes. The game needs more sound engineering in general. Many old effects and gunshot sounds I've heard elsewhere.
-Balance issues on some guns, DMRs feel underpowered while some SMGs feel overpowered. Some guns of the same class feel vastly better than others without any drawbacks.

Good game to wind down in the evening with friends. And the community makes great maps, sometimes...

A funny, relaxing utopia to sink to. Don't take this game seriously, enjoy the silliness. Characters are too horny for their own good and lack all common social rules.
