Cautious optimism, the game is fun but it's full of flaws. The multiplayer is great but the maps are largely mediocre with New Sobek City and Mirak Valley being the best maps combined Escalation being an amazing game mode, ending with battles featuring dozens of vehicles in play yet the rock paper scissors of Infantry, Armour and Air persists. The movement is fun, the weapons all feel fairly balanced and every class getting to use every firearm, just at a slight debuf, is perfect. Everything feels really nicely balanced, the main issue is lack of content and level design. This is a good core but they need to get out a free DLC adding more maps and vehicle variety in the next month or two.

The campaign however is Dismal and feels like something they quickly crashed together in a couple months but that's the norm now, it's a shame they didn't make something better but generally the focus of these games is the multiplayer.

The game has a good foundation, it just needs more content to follow through.

So, after adding the first expansion, the Map isn't very good but at least it's something new, and the MRAP is a nice addition except it's only available on the mediocre new map, which is only available on Conquest...

Correct this now, add the MRAPs to all the maps, make the new map available on Escalation, which is the only good gamemode.

Alright so now they are removing content from the game, removing the ATGM from the IFV which was a legitimately useful counterbalance to competent air vehicles and a good way of disrupting camping armour etc.

Unfortunately it has been abandoned. Were that not the case, i'd recommend it with the caveat that you should be ready for the most frustrating experience ever. You can't directly control the ships so 60% of the time, no matter how stable, no matter how well trained the crew, no matter the conditions, your ships will consistently miss every single god forsaken shot they take while the enemy, sailing in unstable and abominable parodies of warships with guns hanging off the side, armour and speed far greater than you will ever have, will land every shot on your ships. The AI cheats and the battles take far far too long, but the building was fun. Go play From The Depths.

Fun game currently, they clearly are aiming to expand the games features over time, the games price is pretty normal and it's basically early access? It's not as broken or buggy as others are complaining about, I've had 1 crash in 36 hours and the only bug was a pathfinding issue where the AI walked back and forth on what looked like a perfectly functional piece of pavement. There are definitely issues, the path tool still feels quite clunky at times with weird behaviour for more complex shapes but it's more freeform that the first game so something that affords much more freedom is going to be less predictable.

The DLC thing is to be expected at this point in the industry and frankly the base game verity of rides is okay for now.

Themes wise while there are only 5 themes, those being Generic, Viking, Ancient Greek, Submarine/Industry and Tropical, those themes actually lend really well to pretty easy variation with a little imagination. Infact, I think the current parts set allow much more creative freedom that all the themes in the first game, with scaling etc, you can make basically any theme you want with few exceptions, combining Viking and Ancient Greek together you can make Medieval, Classical, Roman, etc. Same goes for the Submarine/Industry theme, you can mix that with Viking and make Steampunk Western or Mortal Engines, etc. Where the first game themes were a fair bit harder to mix, it was hard to adapt pieces to make more unique themes. If themes were like colour tools in painting software, this game you've got CMYK sliders, you can easily create more exotic and unusual pallet while the first game was more like playing with Swatches, you've got a lot of prefab colours which lock you into using a specific pallet.

I paid £22 for an interactive concept art book. I got an interactive concept art book with a simple, entertainingly jank game attached.

Fun game to play from time to time, the building system is nice and simple and with robotics added recently, you can make some pretty intricate stuff, also seaplanes.

This game looked at Warframe and Destiny, and with the help of the Unreal Asset Store, created nothing, amalgamated all the worst/most mundane parts and left a boring, somewhat ugly, lame mess.

A pretty fun game, lots of neat designs with a great art style, only gripe would be the AI generated voice lines and generated character icons with those uncanny animations, besides that, its a great game. Oh, and also a manual save function would be nice, I've died several times to the occasional bad hitbox that insta-kills my plane, loosing my cargo and basically removing a full hour of progress, you have to be extremely careful which gets tedious in such an arcady game.

This game is pretty great. The map editor alone is worth the money, probably the coolest toolset i've ever seen. As for building your factory etc, I feel like conveyors should be unlocked by default or that should be an option, likewise trains from looking at the Update 3 post should be unlocked with the first tier of vehicles with iron tracks first, then steel after etc. Besides that having a lot of fun, would highly recommend as once you get to full automation, its fun organising everything even if your going to delete it all in 20 minutes.

A future feature which would be cool is having something that forces you forward, feels like I should be under threat of getting attacked by a hostile force of some kind, there are pirate ships but it feels like there should be an enemy who would attempt to attack my settlements and frankly this is something that's totally possible in future and i sincerely hope that's where they take the game, a huge part of what makes Factorio fun is the pressure the game puts on you to progress and develop, this is one of the things that makes Satisfactory so boring and I believe the devs of this game know this and plan on expanding upon this, I hope building fortifications, an army and a fleet is where the game goes because that would position this game perfectly and give it crucial longevity. Co-op would also be awesome.
