great timewaster buy this game

This is the most LARP (non-derogatory) game I've played in a hot minute. This game is awesome.

This is a pretty good game. It does for SWAT3-4 what Door Kickers did for Rainbow Six; Distills the gameplay into an accessible experience for newcomers. CO-OP (especially local CO-OP) is a big plus, because now I can force my friends -who normally wouldn't play this kind of game- to play it at LANs!

At it's current state, I cannot recommend this game. (Dec 23, 2023)

It purports itself as a spiritual successor to SWAT 3 and 4, however it seems to have the focus on the wrong areas. SWAT AI is cool and all, but the game was always about attempting to bring people alive, and having to contend with unpredictable suspects and civilians. The biggest problem with this game is that suspects do nothing but shoot on sight (maybe they hesitate a little), and civilians either stand still and fold or walk a short distance away then fold. Suspects do this with superhuman reaction AND response time, conditioning players to shoot people on sight. The game is overly geared towards lethal and aggressive action, which is the opposite of what games like these should be. And it does not inspire confidence that the developers are aware of this when new guns that have no unique gameplay function or style get added, and more focus is spent on the appearance of tactical larp rather than gameplay.

I bought this game on VOID's website back in 2019, and this problem has sat in the game seemingly untouched since then.

quirky game with quirky writing. its short and sweet. the writing style is a bit odd but you can handle it
