i played a pirated copy of tis ♥♥♥♥ for the past like 2 months, racked up like 150 hours and i loved it
so uh i brought the game to show my appreciation of Killhouse Games and shi

keep making good games cuhs!

One of the best games in this genre. The levels are diverse, the game doesn't take itself too seriously but allows a plethora of ways to solve the problem at hand. The game is extremely rewarding in tactical execution and can be punishing for players who are not used to this genre. While the game is solid, most of the downsides in the game currently can be fixed over time. KillHouse Games knocked this out of the park. There's a lot of good to say about the game which is covered more extensively on other reviews.

Rangers
Slightly overtuned. They're good and reliable all-rounders. They can do everything well and have very little downsides. Once you get proficient at the game, get a hang of the tactics, and unlock the good equipment (XM7 solves everything), it's quite difficult to fail a mission or sustain casualties with Rangers outside of unlucky RNG one-tap peeks. Even without the doctrines, they're solid.
The grenadiers are by far the most overpowered unit in the game, being able to solve a lot of problems with the GL. When paired with wall breaches/AT, you can create murder holes to stop hostage executioners or snipe an entire room through a window. Don't want to enter a room? GL it. Can't get a proper angle at a prepared defender? GL it. The hostage executioner running towards the hostage and not in line of sight? GL it. HVT running away to the escape zone with no one nearby to intercept? GL it multiple times to suppress him so he can't move and close in with a team. With non-existant reload time and 5 rounds per grenadier, they're a masterkey to solving most levels and disgustingly overpowered in the right hands.

CIA
Early CIA is punishing, lots of engagements are a coin toss due to slow target acquistion speed, bad marksmanship accuracy, and slow follow up shots. It encourages less gunfights and provides alternative stealth approches to the mission sets but can be frustrating when the mission requires a gunfight without the doctrines. The arsenal is varied, weapon system choices matter a lot more compared to the Rangers and the lack of manpower makes the gunfights higher risk, especially in the campaign mode when sustaining injuries/casualties. Once some weapons are unlocked with some doctrines, having gunfights becomes a more viable option.
Single player provides a decent amount of missions for them but the campaign is lacking content, and quite frankly can be easily done if you just deploy Rangers instead. A maxed out CIA team can be brutal if used correctly and generally will perform better than Rangers at CQB gunfights with the right weapon choice at the expense of manpower. Overall, the CIA is the scalpel solution with hammer capabilities in smaller environments.

Nowheraki
Similar to rangers, the Nowheraki are direct-action based force. They excel in overwhelming fire suppression and manpower at the expense of survivability, accuracy, and equipment load. Where they excel above the rangers is their ability to suppress targets, when equipped with the offensive battle honors, the first few rounds the targets will be sitting ducks. They're balanced well, not much bad to say about them. They're not as reliable as Rangers and require some adjustment of playstyle and tactics to prevent casualties, gunfights are more of a coin toss when trying to engage like Rangers. The playstyle favours closing the gap to the enemy to make use of the fire suppression.

This game is literally like crack for me. The base game is phenomenal but when you add the Project Ares mod and the MARSOC mod it makes the game one million times better. I have played tons and tons of games throughout my time on this planet and Door Kickers 2 is by far the most addicting, fun, satisfying, and overall best experience I have had gaming. If I ever hear someone talk smack about the devs I will personally beat the ♥♥♥♥ out of them. Thank you
