Have been a fan of the Monster Hunter series since gen 2, but I didn't get super into it until Tri. Didn't pick up another game until World, which I didn't really play much because of so many jarring changes. It was a bit overwhelming.

Graphics are phenomenal. Environments are beautiful. The gameplay loop is phenomenal, like I remember it, but it took a minute to get back into. I'd imagine for new players to the franchise it'll be just as difficult if not moreso - especially if they're not familiar with the game or this kind of game.

If you're into "boss battle" types of games this franchise is for you. After acclimating myself I have had an amazing time, maybe moreso than before (though I have fond memories of Loc Lac in Tri). I would absolutely recommend this to anyone whose curious. I'm sure many will thoroughly enjoy it!

A worthy successor. Many QoL updates from the first installment, though it is in Beta as of the writing of this review. Definitely excited to keep playing!

I have not played this game in 3 years but I vaguely remember vast competitions revolving around hats.
