OUTER WILDS

Я ♥♥♥♥♥ НЕ ТУ ИГРУ КУПИЛ ♥♥♥♥♥!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!111!!!!!!!!!!!!

I finally did it. This weekend my brother and I finished the only game in the entire history of my Steam account that I bought at full price — no discounts, no bundles — simply to support the developers, because I was sure it was going to be a masterpiece.

Turns out, I was right.

“Split Fantasy” (if I can translate the title that way) is a coming-of-age story about self-acceptance — a game that reminds us that the best thing we can do is learn to forgive. Most importantly, to forgive ourselves.

I’m not going to go on about Josef Fares’ genius — I’ve done that before — but I do want to say thank you to everyone involved in making this game. They’ve managed to create something that’s genuinely engaging both narratively and in terms of gameplay.

In 2025, when it sometimes feels like every possible gameplay mechanic has already been explored, this game still manages to surprise. The final boss level? Absolutely brilliant. The sheer variety of colors, ideas, and emotions there blew me away — I honestly didn’t expect it.

Perhaps the most impressive thing is that this game feels complete. It doesn’t need sequels, prequels, or expansions. I truly hope it stays that way — although they’ve already announced a movie adaptation with Sydney Sweeney in the lead role (WTF?!)

Whatever the future holds, today this game stands as a mature, fully realized story that never forgets the core reason games exist: to entertain.

If you have a friend, partner, sibling — or even a dog with a controller — I can’t recommend this game enough. It’s worth every cent.

That's for sure one of the best FPS games I ever played. Considering the fact that the original game is from 1998 - means most of the FPS games influenced by half life. The game set bar for the entire genre and made some features of the game as neccessary elements in ux|ui for anyone who created FPS after this masterpiece dropped. Soooo many games tried to be half-life it's unbeliveable.

However this particular version of the game had a huuuuuuuuuuuge problem. The game have autosave - which is a great thing by it's own, whenever you die, you don't need to start the whole area from the begining. However there are times where game autosaves you while you dead or under the lethal conditions like falling from the highground. This happened to me like 5 times.

Being respawn dead means only one thing - you need to start the whole area from the begining. There is no fix to that unfortunatelly.

Well what can I say, as a game - there is nothing and I can guarantee NOTHING special. The gameplay consist of exploring of scripted locations, with almost zero activities and lame shooting sequences. However it's a big thumbs up, since game delivers cinematic experience, as no other Eidos Montreal game does. The story is pretty cool and I can't believe that people in Hollywood are less skilled than the guys that made this movie. Story - production - acting - SOUNDTRACK - OH GOD even soundtrack is cooler in this game than the one that in the movies.

And again for the record - lame gameplay, great story (absolute cinema). This game is the best Guardians of the galaxy movie, we never had. James Gunn would never be able to pull out a movie as good.

I liked the story, but the gameplay is quite repetitive and you might not like it. I'm not sure that after completing the story, I'm going to play this game, since it has nothing to offer. The game definitelly doesnt cost 70$. Bought it on sale for 3$ though. For like 10-15$ game worth it, if bought for more - I don't think so. Especially keeping in mind that you can watch the whole story related cutscenes (which is in fact could be a great movie, definitelly better than the ones DC and Marvel doing for the last few years) and the game has nothing to offer other than the main storyline. I'm leaving a positive review cause I spent 3$ on the game and I regret nothing.

P.S. - it seems odd that the game is taking place in the same universe as arkham series. It would be better as the part of injustice 2 storyline. IT SHOULD BE THE INJUSTICE 2 STORYLINE.

The storyline is better in this one in comparing to the first part, however the whole game feels like the dlc for the first one, rather than the stand alone game since the game has no practical improvements in graphics or gameplay.

However if you liked the first one you will like this one even more, since it's an old game it's constantly on sale, so give it a try.

Decent game which you can finish within 2-3 gaming sessions. The game itself is a decent FPS with elements of horror if you would say so. The feature of the game it's the fact that resources including ammo and gas filters are limited and your enemies are not. You need to prioritize when to fight and when to run in order to finish missions. The shooting system is not flawless, but fine, there is almost no activities on the map besides surviving and shooting into the nuclear zombies, however story and what is most important in this case story delivery makes the game quite interesting. In general it's a nice game, but not the one you would like to spend lot's of money on. Especially by today's standards. If you have never been in post soviet countries, you wouldn't understand the atmosphere which was perfectly designed in this game. Buy on sale if you like post nuclear genre

At some point my game got bugged and I couldn't receive any quests. I googled, and it seems to be a problem not only for me. The only thing you can do at this point is to reboot your save and start over again, which I'm not going to do. The gameplay is ok, graphics are not so beautifull as I expected though. Some reviews are saying that there is a deep deep story, however it doesnt feels like that at all, not forget to mention the first hour of gameplay, doesnt teach you the basics of the game and you have no ability to save game. So what might happen for you is - you will face the first boss, not knowing what to do and after you will eventually die, you need to start tutorial over again. Tried to finish at least the story, however after 20 hours in, the story got bugged. Shame.

- Great story
- Decent gameplay
- Beautifull world

I would describe this game as Tomb Rider reskin with some nuances. I like how the world looks in this game, but i dont buy into idea that the level design is dictated in a matter where you need to explore certain areas twice or even three times per one run in order to open all it's treasures and stuff. But even with treasures it's ok, I can't understand why it's story driven, to visit some places 2-3 times. Map designers or level designers whatever it's called, made a great job, levels are huge, despite the fact that they have classic corridor sturcture with some twists.

The game goes this way, you are going to a certain planet, doing some stuff there untill - you stuck into a wall/obstacle which can't be destroyed until you have a certain ability. You go back to base, change location, move forward storywise and then you need to go back to the place where you've been stuck.

The entire game consist of 4 planets, with 3 layers of levels. Every layer opening is story driven, you can't simply swipe everything from the planet the first time you are there, you need to go back to each and every planet from 2-3 times in order to finish the game and I can't understand why such poor game designing choices been made. You could easily divide 4 planets with 3 layers each into 12 separate locations. 12 planets, starships etc. you name it.

The ONLY one reason why it is made is simply because the game is quite short itself and the developers want to increase the average in-game time for their product by putting unsolvable (until a certain point) taks into a game.

Gameplay wise it was similar to the Shadow of the tomb rider (I bet that this game was one of the references or even some people that made that game were working on fallen order as well) and Hogwarts Legacy at some point. Since Hogwarts Legacy has the same poor level design choices, however in hogwarts legacy you are not locked in corridors, you are playing in a huge open world. Hogwarts is a most important location among them all and that's why there are some levels, which can't be accessible straight ahead from the start.

The only problem with this game is that it's level design. The rest is perfect even if you are not a fan of a star wars franchise, the game worth trying!
