Homeworld set the bar for space RTS. The music and sound effects are beautifully atmospheric, the storyline to the campaign is subtly laid out and you find yourself fully invested by the end. The way it makes use of three-dimensional space, as well as the aesthetic design is simply superb. The Remastered collection updates the classic to make the most of modern hardware, and is visually spectacular. There are some foibles and let downs - such as scaling the HUD to look right on a 1440p Ultrawide monitor just isn't happening. But overall I'd still recommend this edition whether you know the original and want to revisit it, or just enjoy RTS games more generally.
