After 20 hours, I think I can now honestly review this game.

It sucks.

While it certainly IS your typical "Civilization" game it lacks just about everything but the core mechanics.

The HUD is terrible, faulty, and overall just appears slighty "weird" if you look a little bit closer. Things that should be highlighted, like conditions to be met for a specific type of victory are written very small and hard to see. Sometimes even the captions for the different tabs in the settings are in different places and not aligned correctly. If you have ever created something with the help of any A.I. program, you can´t help but to notice similarities. Things just seem... out of place. As if an A.I did a large part of the graphic design....

By the way, the profile customization seems to be 90% ripped off from Hearts of Iron IV and the civilization-change seems awfully similar to the game "humankind".... yea. Kinda lazy for a game this big.

On the other hand, large parts of mechanics are just straight up missing. For exapmle map customization, setting custom rules for victories and auto-explore for scouts.

What really surprised me, is that you can no longer form Teams in the lobby. WHY?! WHY CAN´T I TEAM UP WITH A FRIEND? Now this wouldnt be that big of a problem, if you had shared vision after you then created an ingame-alliance. BUT YOU DON`T EVEN HAVE THAT.

Still, could be worse, I thought....

But then it got even worse.

My friend and I finished our game, after 20 hours and I thought: "Well, at least it´s over now". Then the "Defeat" screen appeared. NO SHARED VICTORIES WITH AN ALLIANCE? There are so many stupid things in this game that I never would have thought to ever encounter in a Civilization game. Maybe they just forgot it. In which case I would have no just choice but to call the devs a bunch of morons. If, this however was intentional, one could only try to fathom what in the actual hell made the devs do that....

It´s just plain stupid.

The last sentence that was uttered in our game was a dissapointed "That´s it?" by my mate, on seeing the aprubt, entirely unfitting and anticlimactic game summary and ending. And I think this sentence just about sums this game up.

It´s just missing a lot. Many new additions are not done very well, and overall it´s just a very underwhelming release for a game like Sid Meiers Civilization. This game was half-assed, released too early, and may have relied on A.I. for certain things a little bit too much. And this review doesn´t even cover the many bugs like desyching every round in the antique era that we encountered.

This series just deserves better.

Effzeh hat soeben 2:3 im DFB-Pokal verloren. Ich habe nun einen Ruhepuls von 118 im sitzen und einen Blutdruck, der einem Arzt die Angstblässe ins Gesicht treiben würde. Dieses Videospiel hat mich genug beruhigt, um mir doch ein paar müde Stündchen Schlaf gönnen zu können.
Damit hat sich Stardew Valley, welches ohnehin schon eines meiner absoluten Lieblingsspiele ist, sein positives Review nun endgültig verdient.

I decided to take my time with this review and wait for a little while until I have had the chance to thourougly play the game and give my opinion based on what I really think after spending a few hours in it. Here goes nothing:

It ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ sucks.
The only leagues who get good cards are premier league and LaLiga. The promos are entirely thoughtless and the gameplay is horrible. The passing feels sluggish, the scripting is actually ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ insane and pace is so ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ irrelevant you might as well use goalkeepers as wingers. It dont make no difference.
The "battlepass" is so ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ bad that its almost funny. To get to the packs with medium quality players you have to spend so much time grinding that its entirely not worth it. In the second battlepass you dont even GET players. THEY´RE LOANS. Wtf?
This game is just so devoid of love and actual content that its not even worth buying for 30 bucks for the career mode, because they somehow managed to ♥♥♥♥ even that up just by making the HUD worse than the labyrinth of Knossos.
Fifa right now is both a shadow of its former self and what it could potentially be. They havent even made a game that is as bad as the last two ones, they have somehow managed to make a game that is even worse. What. The. ♥♥♥♥.

Buying a 3 story villa from wish.com is probably less of a scam than playing this game.

Geiles Game, Geiles Ambiente. Handling der Schiffe ist perfekt, die Kämpfe episch, die Missionen interessant nur die 12 jährigen Kinder auf Schiffen mit 20 Euro skins nerven. Der offene Sprach-Chat macht das ganze allerdings doch ganz witzig
