TLDR: You know if you're the type to love this game, and if you are, you will love this game as I do.

Played for the first time when 1.5 came out. There's still some bugs, but more like a Bethesda game, where it's not game breaking.

The atmosphere, sound design, and experience of playing this game is really unlike anything else. Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 has better world simulation with NPCs, but this has amazing survival horror feel and excellent gun play. If this game had the NPC AI of Metal Gear Solid 5, it would be damn near perfect.

I'm going to support the devs however I can so that we get more of this.

ALSO special shout out to whoever is responsible for the music and sound effects/design in this game. It is absolutely next level incredible and without it, the game would be far less. Definitely play with a good pair of headphones.

Wow, been awhile since I've been this conflicted about a game.

Pluses:
Absolutely incredible production values.
Insanely over the top cinematic cut scenes.
Dazzling to look at and listen to.
Top notch voice acting.

Minuses:
Shallow as a kiddie pool game play. The game really feels like they think you're stupid. Constantly tip messages handing everything to you on a silver platter. You don't even have to pick up items, just run into them. LOL.
Feels like the most overproduced game ever for the game play it provides.
An absolutely insane amount of cinematics to the point that it gets to be too much.
Not a real Final Fantasy game in that it's RPG LITE. Way too light. Feels like a side game.
So far, completely linear and predictable game play.
World map is boring and literally just glorified fast travel. Doesn't seem to really be any exploration?

The worst part of all of this is after 4 hours I had no desire to play more. I may push through and try to, but it's never a good sign when I already feel exhausted with a game so soon.

Edit after 15 hours. I'm probably 75% through the game and can now say I recommend playing it. Just don't expect amazing gameplay. The spectacle and Summon fights make it worthwhile.

Is the game janky? Yes.
Will you encounter tons of bugs? Yes.
Will you still have a blast if you enjoy Souls like game structure mixed with a Bethesda game? Abso-freakin-lutely.

If you love JRPGs of old, get this. Perfect blend of the old and the new.

Really good Overwatch season.

Another remake that is possibly better than the original, in the same vein as Resident Evil 4. If you're a fan of the genre, you have to play this.

An absolutely incredible masterpiece that somehow improves on its predecessor, which I didn't think was possible.

A Harry Potter fans dream game!
