[UPDATE] - According the to head moderator on the official discord, the game is unlikely to continue development, DO NOT BUY.

[UPDATE 2] - It's been 2 years. Nothing has changed, the game is 100% abandonware and I'm certain this was made to scalp people's money from that script injector trojan 'bug' once it got big enough.
The game is *probably* safe to play now (I wouldn't risk it) but it's hardly worth it, if you have any issues with the game and need help - the discord is dead, the original moderator (The PR guy) locked it all down in May of 2024 after it went mostly unmoderated for around a year.
The game is a mediocre looking Unreal store Asset flip with car and part models mostly ripped from Forza Horizon and HORRIFIC anime style player models that has a *decent* handling system. It's nothing to write home about. Just wait for NIGHT-RUNNERS and JDM to release, or play their free pre-release prologues if you're bored.

Additional note:
DON'T TOUCH ANY GAME THESE DEVS PRODUCE, THERE IS A LARGE CHANCE THEY'LL PULL THIS SCAM AGAIN.

[THE ORIGINAL REVIEW]
This game is a massive waste of potential. But also not surprisingly so.
Kanjozoku game feels like a Unity asset flip that actually is decent to play, the handling is fun, the seldom seen take on highway racing with traffic cars feels fresh, the economy is grindy enough to keep you playing but not grindy enough to wear you out, there's a decent selection of cars, some are modelled better than others, and some have more customisation options than others.

That's about where this game's good parts stop.

If you've read other reviews, you may have noticed that at one point a trojan was injected into many of the multiplayer lobbies in the game via the chat menu infecting the PCs of everyone in the lobby. The devs blamed this on third party mods (it wasn't), the community was forced to offer guides to those affected in the discord channel (the mods were also suppressing discussion there) until the issue was fixed after a roughly a week (far too slow) by implementing the well-known community fixes, the devs dropped another mediocre patch with a few new car models a few weeks later.
The game development has been dead since.

We were getting monthly or bi-monthly patches before this, and the developers and pr guy on the discord server have gone dead silent. If this doesn't seem fishy to you I don't know what will.

For $9 AUD I would have recommended this game if not for the sh*tshow of the trojan debacle and for the lack of transparency from the devs. I am almost certain the trojan injection was a deliberate attempt on the developer's part to shark some extra money from an optimistic fanbase and run with what they had.

[OLD EDIT, NOW INVALID]
If the developers can prove me wrong, say release meaningful content to the game, or actually talk to the players in any clear way, I would be more than happy to change this review, but as it stands now, do not buy this game. It is buggy, incomplete, and at the current point the devs have abandoned ship and are likely to be scammers.

yes i was once hacked back on that day nearly just weeks after release, somehow i left the browser open and it access to my binance account , which sold all of my coins at loss, since i had activated the 2nd authentication therefore the money could not be transfer out.

i never knew there was a virus injected into the game. its sad the direction that this game took cause i love playing it casually whilst listening to youtube or relaxing. i got this game when it was heavily discounted, and now i guess i know why. i also realise now why my other apps dont run as well whilst im playing the game, it probably takes extra processing power and potentially works as a coin miner or something. shame. gotta find another game to mindlessly grind while procrastinating
