I cant even begin to describe how bad it feels for this game to finally be getting to a really good spot where your effort and time spent is rewarded, only for it to be completely undone overnight. Its cartoonish how evil this bait and switch is.

An extremely faithful recreation of a fantastic PS2 game. Performance isn't great, but it is something that can be fixed given time. I hope KONAMI continues to remake this series and I eagerly await co-op nonsense with friends in Peace Walker.

devs misunderstand good weapons as overpowered so they nerf them instead of bringing everything else up

On its own I'm sure this game would have had better reception but when compared to the other two this game is so bad. It feels like a fan made project, but the fans only have 12 minutes experience in the mapping tools fromsoft made.

I'm not done with the story so i cant mention much on that. The gameplay, however, is a testament to how well valve actually understands vr and its limits as well as its strengths. The source 2 engine is an incredibly optimized piece of art that will hopefully set a precedent for futures games and mods.

Seeing as how the game is in a PRE-ALPHA state, it has come a long way. With a few bug fixes and improvements, the game could skip beta and be a full release right now. However, the fact that they plan to add more than what is already here means that the full release will hold hours of fun to come.

Literally any drawback at this point is that it IS in PRE-ALPHA at the time of writing this. Which means that there will be game breaking bugs that should be sq uashed fairly quick.

Yes, we all get it, ITS A BETA. However, for a beta, it is really poorly optimized. Thats not even the worst part though. It just feels clunky. The animations are really choppy and fell unnatural. The UI is some of the worst designed UIs Ive had the chance to use.

I really wanted to like this game.

This fells less like a beta and more of an alpha. Everything is too clunky and poorly put together to warrant me ever spending more than $10-$15 on the full release.

No thanks.

It says true to the original half-life, and adds more content to make the experience even more enjoyable.
