My single sentence description of this game is
"If Mega Man: Zero and Monster Hunter had a baby."

And it is a beautiful baby.

Made by the creators of Mega Man: Zero, and has a very similar playstyle and art which will bring nostalgic joy from those of you who loved MM:Zero (myself included.)

In a Monster Hunter like fashion, you choose a mission from the "Mission Board" and attempt said mission, usually having a challenging boss at the end. You get loot from chests and monster drops that you can use in later missions or spend in town to exchange for gear or consumables or (now in 3.0) upgrade gear. Eventually you'll be able to challenge tougher missions or higher difficulties to get better loot.

You farm a mission to get loot, so you can farm a tougher mission to get better loot, so you can farm an even tougher mission to get even better loot, so you can farm........
The MonHun formula

There are now 6 characters to choose from with different playstyles.
The "Standard" Empress
The "Tank" Warrior
The "Floaty Glass Cannon" Shinobi
The "High APM Glass Cannon" Witch
The "High APM plus buff management" Oracle
and the "RNG Resource Management" Bandit
With some areas that can only be accessible by certain characters, make sure you have a diverse party to access all the loot.

Play with friends, with online matchmaking (playerbase permitting), or even solo.

Now for the cons.

It does have that MonHun formula, so it also has that MonHun Grind. With some drops being in the single digit or lower percentage drop, it can get repetive.

While it does have HP scaling for more party members, it is much easier in a party. Compared to the Switch launch, going solo is much easier, but having others to divert the boss' attention allows for an easier fight overall.

There are a few difficulty spikes.
The first few are just significant leaps in incoming damage (but that can be mitigated by dodging).
But the one that I'm currently attempting to break through is a huge HP increases with bosses. (A lvl 65 boss takes 7 minutes, the lvl 80 version takes 30)

All in all, if you enjoyed the Mega Man: Zero or ZX series, you will have a ton of fun, even if you dont enjoy MonHun like grinds.

Currently the best MMORPG out on the market.

Great amount of character customization, ability to level every class with a single character, challenging endgame PvE, intuitive yet diverse classes, a crafting/gathering system that is not sleep inducing, a good learning curve, multiple and yet diverse types of possible grinds with FATES, GATES, Dungeons, Raids, PvP, Eureka, Beast Tribes, and hundreds of side quests.

That doesnt even mention the Final Fantasy tier of a Main quest storyline and multiple Final Fantasy tier Side quest storylines. Or the epic soundtrack featuring many different styles of music.

Definitely the best MMORPG currently on the market.
