He finds obscure gems and has a weird ability to pull the mask of prejudice off stubborn gamers, forcing us out of our comfort zones. He expanded my "Gabe-view" (hehe) beyond shiny AAA graphics, proving rich narratives don't need billion-dollar budgets.

He strikes a wild balance: spanking new releases & retro, single & multiplayer, indie & AAA, West & East, console & PCMR. He dragged me into visual novels (Phoenix Wright!), helped clear my backlog, and helped me find my true taste rather than following hype.

Crucially, he's never toxic. He's patient with thick-skulled noobs but is the antidote to corporate greed. He rewards quality, not marketing.
