It is a good game but the remaster has just as many if not more problems than the original.

Game doesn't properly detect your VRAM and ends up never setting a limit for how much of your VRAM textures use and then the game fills up your VRAM then nanite tries to use the VRAM and the game crashes unless you go in the configuration files for the engine and limit it yourself.

I can run almost every single game on 4k with 60 fps with no upscaling.

I had to spend hours tweaking and modding, and I had to go in the files and delete the shader cache to fix most of the crashes and get 50-100 fps in this game at 1440P even after the recent performance updates.

Guys you can just surrender if you know the opponent is going to play a combo and you have no way to win afterwards instead of waiting 3 business days for them to finish the combo, just like you can in the physical card game.

Short and to the point.

Cool game similar to Fire Emblem, Advance Wars, Into The Breach, Final Fantasy Tactics, etc.

Good Gameplay.

Decent Story.

Alot of weapon and class variety and abilities.

Alot more weapons or damage types than in Fire Emblem.

However some classes or characters are underwhelming or have less variety due to their stats not synnergizing with the strategy of their kit.

IE there is a class after mage, called Arcanist, that gains power on their attacks if they did not move. Promoting to Arcanist gives you less defensive stats, making it impossible to keep them in the same spot very long as they will suffer from taking large damage from enemies.

Units also have innate abilities independent of their class, however some of these abilities are only useful for one or two upgrade paths that they synergize with instead of being more simple or broader abilities that can benefit every class.

IE one unit has an ability that deals increased critical damage which is only good for classes with high critical chance, while another unit has an ability that increases critical chance which is decent for almost every class.

Game also feels rather easy even on the hardest difficulty.

There are randomizers and other customizable settings allowing more variety, replayability, and difficulty in your playthrough.

There are also gold, exp and stat modifiers that can increase or decrease the difficulty beyond the standard limits.

No permadeath, dying only causes your units to lose a bit of stat points.

I think fixing the innate abilities or statlines that are basically locked to certain classes and also adding an option to toggle permadeath would make the game better and more interesting, but it is a good game and I am just nitpicking.

Enemy AI is decent but just like in alot of other games like this they do not move at all until you come within their attack range, which I think is rather stale and boring and also allows you to exploit and gain as much exp as you want by just using certain units abilities and ending your turn over and over again, but this only gives 1 exp after the first promotion so it is very time consuming anyway to try and cheese the entire game with it.
