I really wanted to like this game as it showed some really fun elements. However after a little over an hour, I pretty much did everything I wanted to. In the early stages of release, id say it isn't worth the price. But I'm hoping it'll get better. For now, I cannot recommend it, and ill consider repurchasing when much more content is added.

Tokyo Xtreme Racer (TXR) was well worth the $30 before its full release, however at a price tag of $50, im not so sure. I just completed the additional content/story that was added along with the full release and i feel like its still lacking content. Sure, you could argue its only currently version 1.0 and a good number of cars were added, with additional perks and customization along with the update, but it really needs more of everything. I feel like the map is also too small, and i hope it grows in size with coming updates. Id love to see some customizable tachometer options like Wangan Midnight Maximum tune.
Id also like to add that in my over 30 hours of playtime, i hadn't experienced a single crash or error, and using a controller throughout my time with TXR, was a flawless experience.
Genki has truly brought back a great game with a very hopeful future. But for $50, id advice you to wait for a sale, as its simply lacking content for that amount. But if you're willing to spend the money, then you'll have a great time.
In its current state (version 1.0), id give it a solid 7.5/10. If there was a longer campaign, a larger map, more cars (perhaps outside of the JDM market), and more licensed aftermarket parts, I could easily give this a 10.

Early Access Review
TCG is a fun game up until a point where it just gets repetitive. Its still in its early stages of development so i'm eager to see how its future will look.

Also i just want the steam badge for reviewing TCG.

I used to love this game, but they ♥♥♥♥♥♥ us up, because they reset my level, stats and even took away all my inventory items that i spent money on.

Drift Streets Japan is not the best car game i have played in a long shot. Yes its the only game like this on steam, and yes the drift physics are decent. But the game isn't perfect. Sure you many say for $6 its pretty cheap, and it is.
But is it worth buying?
To answer that in short :
Yes, i think it is. I bought the game when it first came out, and back then lets be honest the game was missing ALOT, but after a week or so after release, the game has been updated quite a few times, always adding new and improved things. Such as manual transmission, more cars, a better interior, and much more.
Yes, of course it could use alot of work, with the many bugs, and being able to use a controller, but if you look past that, and see that is has a chance to become something great, it makes you wonder why you shouldn't buy it.
I do have high hopes for this game, as it has already come so far, and i do believe the dev's have some idea as to what they want to add.
In short, i think Drift Streets Japan is great game to pick up. Yes, it has bugs and glitches, but what game doesn't? and what game on steam allows to buy drift like this game does? NOTHING.
Hense why i recommend this game.
