It's not for everyone but if you like using your own deduction and analysis, and open-ended narratives that have objective bases but are open enough for interpretation, sit yourself down for a few hours with this.

It was really fun until it decided to stop loading my save file.

Who looked at Payday and said "what's missing is a camping enemy that relentlessly sends pairs of drones at you"? The further insistence on buffing the Techie and adding her to other heists down the line is just another ♥♥♥♥ you to everyone who still hasn't given up on the game yet.

Unrefined and clearly unfinished, I do enjoy the game but I keep getting server disconnections when playing by myself. The fact this is even possible, that I have to wait through matchmaking and be unable to pause a run where I am the only human player is beyond a joke.

Probably my favourite Ubisoft game ever. Shame about the lack of official server support these days BUT you can use external connection software like Hamachi to spoof LAN play, so it's not *completely* gone like everyone seems to think it is. Matchmaking is dead but if you're playing with friends, it just requires an extra step to the process.

Originally played on PS4 a few years ago. The game is absolutely overpriced so get it on sale, but don't let its origins as a Wii game put you off as it almost did for me. Waiting inside is a fantastic experience; great story. great characters, great music, and I appreciate the real-world photography bottling 2008 Shibuya in a bottle. It would've been easy to just get some artists to make a few character sprites and a background for each area, but the effort to hire actors and photograph the scenes being acted out stands it apart visually from other VNs out there. Very few of these "sound novels" were localised into English, and although it seems like there won't be a follow-up I'm more than happy to just have 428.

Canaan still sucks though.

As trippy experiences go, Killer7 nails everything except the gameplay, which is so repetitive, cumbersome and sometimes just doesn't work (about 1/3rd of the time weak spot hits would count as regular body hits for seemingly no reason) that it drags down everything else. It shows amazing potential as a different form of visual media, I can't speak for its story but the atmosphere, visual style, soundtrack and sound design are all incredible. As a game, however, the gameplay is just far too shallow to be worth playing.
