We are not a source of infinite wealth, if you restrict it to a finite amount of time.
Remember when the april fools joke, that made the game what it is, was a funny and happy ordeal? this is just disrespectful to make it limited time, a fool's errand.
Sega's licensing team, or whatever caused this joke, is about to tank future sales of dave the diver if new players cant access this DLC and get the whole experience in the future. Tell me, when does sonic leave smash ultimate, Sega?
for real tho, this is worth $80 dollars, $50 with the bundle! ninten-do what sega do too.

I once asked people for any game suggestions based on my library at the time. they saw my 500hr in terraria and started suggesting all the games inspired by terraria.
they then continued by saying "because you're (at the time) 15 you simply wouldn't understand games intended for older audiences."
my guy, you just suck at suggesting games. thats when i learned to never trust reddit.

any motivation to play this game again is ruined by being stuck with the older version that is no longer visible on the steam store. i do not want to cough up 10, 20, 30, 40 dollars just to experience it again at a more reliable playing experience. if i were just checking in on the game, sure, this version would be fine, but on steam deck? QoL mods? expansion mods? i may as well forget it. the new version should have been added to everyones accounts the second it came to be.

if a game lasts this long you have no excuse to not play it. not to mention all the DLC is cheap on sale days
