Gaming on the PC for over 30 years and i cannot think of anything to compare it to. You can start off simple to survive using basic machines and then gently nudged into creating crazy highly complex setups to using machines to do other odd roles as part of your hobbled together machine keeping your dupes alive and happy. Before you know it you have built from ground up a full bio-dome along the way stuck in a trance mapping more complex setups in your mind.

to top it all Klei are clearly focused in making an all time ground breaking classic with frequent updates and a true refreshing change from the loot box micro transaction infested cesspool of the modern game industry.

My only hope is they inspire other developers to do the same and never sell out to EA, Microsoft etc.

Story was amazing, drawn out perhaps a bit too much but it did give you the feeling of your climbing a mountain. Found a few bugs nothing game breaking so dont let that put you off. Voice acting was fantastic , driving was ok but secondary.
Worth £35? perhaps not , it should have included all the DLC as part of the main game .

Peformance on an i7 980ti was honestly horrid but after i installed "reshade" (google it) peformance quality was fantastic with solid 100+ fps at all times.

Oh and it does continue on from Mafia 2 and even 1 but in such a suttle way playing the other 2 offers you nothing more than a smile and it does tie up loose ends from mafia 2 ... if your watching closely

Bah! I love TD games.. is this the best? NO is it close ? NO . Would be at home on a iphone3 but its not terrible and easly completed.

its "OK" for an moble app style RTS. Will i play it again? mabey?.. well likely no...but its what you pay for.

Firstly the Graphics are stunning the way monsters and beasts now roam the world blends in with total perfection.

The story is overall weak + has so many holes in it. You are often left with no real idea why the story is progressing and if you take out the japanese syle emotinal interactions and strip it down to story only its very poorly put together.

The combat is horrid just horrid. It is soo simple yet fristrating. Magic doesnt have an impact, weapon choices are slight, gone are the days of FF tactics working out intresting ways of facing encounters.

If you want an FF movie with quicktime events (not a bad thing) this game is amazing and worth every penny . If you wanted a true FF adventure busting with content and complexity its a no sorry.

Only 4 hours in and the story is amazing ! well acted both CGI and voice. On par to the feel of C&C in this respect. Well done petroglyth!. Why the poor review? sadly the gameplay is very poor chunky and almost feels like a cheap IOS game. Hostly could have been starcraft2's equal. Should you buy it ? no , its a smiley face for effort but no gold star.

Fantastic game and well worth playing. There are many paths to the end goal, lots to do , mistakes to make and mindblowing in content. Focusing on the crap , the combat is slow , a little dull, crafting is nearly 100% pointless sadly so many items so many things to craft but take food for example its a minor in battle boost , out of battle you can insta heal without problems. I also came over some game breaking bugs like all npcs going hostile but honestly overall it was fantastic non rushed lots to explore, rich in law , funny sad and with an interacial lesbian human / elf sex a kinkly orgy of a game. Its what all RPGs need to aspire to for level of content. Also voice acting A+ (if the voice scripts are often a bit weak)..
