A beautiful, stylish game that starts as a 10/10 mystery but ends as a 4/10 linear disappointment that doesn't respect your time or your choices.

The Good:
* The art style is fantastic.
* The story's initial setup is incredibly intriguing and pulls you in immediately.
* While the voice acting is high-quality, it's jarringly inconsistent. Significant chunks of dialogue are suddenly unvoiced, even for main characters who are otherwise fully voiced.

The Bad:
* DOESN'T RESPECT YOUR TIME. This is a time loop game where I spent over 100 loops. You are forced to re-watch the same driving and walking transition cutscenes every. single. time. They are unskippable, and they add up to a massive, agonizing waste of time.
* ILLUSION OF CHOICE. The game claims "choices matter," but it's a lie. It's a visual novel, not an RPG. All dialogue options are just flavor text that lead to the exact same outcome. Fans of games like Disco Elysium where choices feel impactful will be severely disappointed. Because no choices actually matter, there is absolutely 0 replayability.
* COMPLETELY LINEAR. The game arbitrarily gatekeeps you. It will force you to shoot a character even when it teases "another way" (there isn't one). It will stop you from reading a manual with an answer until the plot allows it.
* THE ULTIMATE SIN. The game actually removes dialogue and action options you've tried in previous loops, punishing you for experimenting. This is the exact opposite of what a time loop game should be.

Final Verdict: I have 100% completed this game (all story, side quests, and extras) in 20 hours. I wanted to love it, but I can't recommend it. It's a narrative game that fails at both "narrative" and "game."

Star Wars: Fallen Order is the best Star Wars game since The Force Unleashed, possibly even better. Plays amazingly well on the Steam Deck with high settings locked at 35-40 fps.

Just play it already. Trust this random stranger from the internet bro; it's worth it.

Removed the Heart and Soul of Battlefield and substituted it with a poor man's Apex Legends. Go play Battlefield 1 instead.

Incredibly addictive gameplay that you can pick up and play for minutes or hours depending on your schedule. Also perfect for some mobile gaming on a Steam Deck.

The base game is okay, but definitely not a finished product.

After being in "early access" for a couple of years, the game is still completely unoptomized. Then, instead of finishing the game, the developer decides to release a paid DLC. Now maybe they needed to release this DLC after they had to settle a lawsuit for $40m USD, which would be fine, but of course they wouldn't admit that, and so they end up looking like money grubbing worms.

Don't buy this, don't support bad developers that don't complete their game before releasing paid DLC.

I loved Skyrim, and still do, but Bethesda and Steam have tarnished its reputation by implementing this "Paid Mods" crap, and then having the AUDACITY to keep 75% (SEVENTY FIVE ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ PERCENT) of all the money from SOMEONE ELSE'S WORK.

♥♥♥♥ you guys.

TOXIKK is a graphically beautiful throwback to the FPS games of old, where nothing but time and skill stands between you and being the best. Getting rid of all of the unlocks, loadouts, and perks means that you can jump in on day 1, day 100, or day 1000 and when you get stomped, you'll know it's because they were just better than you.

Early Access Review
A few things first:

1) Yes, the game has its bugs. It's early access, so that is to be expected.
2) No, the game doesn't have the best looking graphics evaaaarrr!
3) Yes, the game is a little bit P2W right now, but let me explain.

So the big controversy was about the airdrops, which have a chance of spawning weapons and ammo, even though the devs specifically said that they would not sell anything that would give you power in game.

There were 2 major problems with the airdrops when H1Z1 first came out, and several streamers had this happen:
1) Airdrops were dropping right on top of the person's head
2) The airdrops almost always had weapons.

However, the devs have specifically stated that the airdrop falling on top of the person was a bug, and that they intend to have the airdrops spawn UP TO 700m away, but NOT less than 250m away from the person who called it. Also, airdrops will not be able to be called in UNLESS there are AT LEAST 120 people on the server. Also, they have slowed down how fast the cargo plane flies, and how quickly the airdrop falls to the ground. All the while, both the cargo plane and the airdrop have bright flashing lights on them to let everyone know where they are, and the cargo plane can be heard really far away, and when the airdrop finally does land, it also spawns zombies around it. Lastly, they have changed the way the airdrops work so that each airdrop is a chance to be one of several "packages", some of which don't have any guns at all, like the farmer, which only contains stuff for growing crops.

All of this means that the chances of someone else getting the airdrop before you are pretty high. Even if you do manage to get the airdrop that you called in, you are definitely going to have to fight for it, either against other players or against the zombies. Just the other day I managed to fight off a guy that called in an airdrop and steal all of the crops from it while he was busy running from the zombies with low health.

After all of that, if you still think that the game is P2W, then this game definitely isn't for you.

However, I have been enjoying my time with H1Z1 so far. There are a lot of people on the map, loot is hard to come by, but not so difficult that you won't find anything, you just have to figure out where to look. The basebuilding is awesome. I managed to build a shack, add a door with a PIN to it, and put a chest inside in an out of the way area that still has access to a city in order to store some stuff. I met some other people on the server and we started working together to build up the base to add new buildings, collect rainwater, have a place to cook food, and have walls for defense.

So far, I would say H1Z1 is well worth the price they are asking, and the enjoyment that I have been getting out of the game keeps bringing me back for more.

This game is a crazy ride, making the player question every decision he makes and wonder what is and isn't real. What a great game!
