I’ve been waiting for this game since the Kickstarter years ago, and I wanted to love this, but the game genuinely feels unfinished.
I love the aesthetic and art style, the music is great and all the songs have been great. However, the experience is broken by the story mode, which was the main reason I wanted to try this game.

What breaks it for me:
1. The pacing is bad, and it feels like I skipped some scenes with how abruptly the game cuts stuff. Things happen out of nowhere. One moment you’re in one location and the next moment you’re teleported to another scene with no explanation, or suddenly there’s a cutscene mid gameplay with no clear flow.

2. The dialogue feels wrong. Not sure if its a stylistic choice or a glitch but the characters constantly talk over each other whether voiced or unvoiced (there were even some dialogues that were covered by another one for a weird reason?)

3. Failing a chart / fight skips doesn’t allow for retry. Sometimes you will be immediately brought to a rhythm game sequence with barely any tutorial and since you’re unprepared, you may lose and you cannot retry it, so depending on what you lose on, you can lose out on more story.

4. The initial key binds are bad, not only does the game not tell you the full layout. You’ll need to exit out to the main menu settings to change them.

5. Some of the voice acting varies, some feel more professional and others feel like they needed more direction.


It’s clear there’s a lot of passion behind the game, I’ve seen it with the kickstarter and demo, but I think it could become a recommendation once the issues are patched. I’ll happily revisit later then. If you’re exclusively playing this for arcade mode, it’s not really an issue. But for a core story experience I would set this as a Maybe or Not Recommended.

This game is rigged against me.

Play it on PS4 instead.

Its alright.

I could listen to the title theme all day.

The good kind of good.
