10 times better than Splitgate 2, arena gameplay feels much better than class based.

Incredibly underrated deckbuilder rougelite. I would definitely recommend if you enjoy Slay the Spire.

Better than Doom 2016 in just about every way. Make sure to disable steam overlay in game properties to have a significant fps boost,

It's UNO. Kinda hard to ♥♥♥♥ it up, unless you are Ubisoft.

One of, if not the best game from 2017.

Started the game as a burly Dwarf with an eyepatch and large club, learned that everyone hates Dwarves in general but not enough for me to be good at persuasion and bartering as well as having my murderous Elf rouge fall in love with me and my Dwarven abs.

I don't want to spoil anything since I think this game is better experienced without guides, but this is an amazing RPG for anyone who is even slightly into them.

I wish Steam had a meh option for reviews, Dark Souls 2 isn't a bad game but it is easily the worst in the series.

The game has several positives. Intro cinematic is pretty interesting, Majula looks amazing as well as other environments in the game, 42 total bosses in total, and has all the DLC included which are pretty decent.

However; the negatives out weigh the positives for me.
-Everything in the game is slow. You move and roll slow, combat is a bit slow, healing is slow, etc.
-Downgrading the estus flask system in favor of the slow healing as well as finite amount of lifegem system is dumb
-The system of reducing max health upon death unless you use one of the finite amount of Human Effigy that was introduced in Demons' Souls is back
-There are 42 bosses in total but about 2/3 of them are mediocre at best.
-Enemies and bosses aren't very creative with there being an abundance of dudes in armor taking up the roster instead of the grotesque mosters that are present in the other series, including Bloodborne
-Pharros' Lockstone as well as Branch of Yores seem interesting on paper, but serve little purpose other than glorified keys to unlock doors
-The in-game lighting make some textures/areas look terrible
-The Gutter is somehow an even worse version of Blighttown
-Items in the game are about as durable as a week old breakstick, so having to switch and repair weapons is common
-Poison is incredibly strong and can kill you quickly, which makes poison build characters ideal for PvP.
-Some bosses/areas are just a bunch of enemies in a small environment for challenge purposes
-World design looks good, but questionable. For instance, after defeating a poisoned Medusa in a dark poison environment you take an elevator up to a lava castle in the sky.
-Enemies can hurt you while missing their attacks as well as grappling you several feet away from their target due to the insane hitbox this game has.

Dark Souls 2 is just an alright game. I would highly suggest buyers to check out Dark souls 1 (or wait for the Remastered version to come out in May), 3, or even Nioh first before playing Dark Souls 2.
