This game is really fun. Dark Souls games are always enjoyable to explore and sure it's a bit of a grind to level, but the actual grind is getting good at the game. I compare this game to STALKER because as you progress you become powerful enough to be able to afford more hits to your character and to be able to hit harder. Skill shots in STALKER are headshots, but in this they are well-timed parries. They are both satisfying. Love this game, love the atmosphere, and love the gameplay. Anybody can pick this game up and enjoy it, you just gotta learn that it doesn't matter if you die - you can get everything you lost back :) fun with friends, fun with strangers, I still haven't beaten the game because I'm garbage and wanted to do all the story stuff the first time through, don't make the same mistake as me - if you miss something, it will be there in new game+ good luck and have fun!
