A NEOTOKYO° team.

Team Zanshi (斬死 —“cut to death” or “slay” in Japanese) was a competitive clan in the Source mod NEOTOKYO°. The team is no longer active, as the NEOTOKYO° community can no longer support a competitive scene.

Zanshi was undefeated — never losing a single tournament, scrimmage, or match. This Steam group exists as a record of that legacy and to recognize the players who made it possible.

° Founded: Summer of 2009 by Ampjet and PrettyLush.
° Original competitive roster included: AIR_CAV, FrozenLightbulb, Lucid, Shino, and Red Scare.
° Later members: After some inactivity the team added Jykil, bearcat, and Exodus who were members of scrim partner Accident Prone.
° Community members: Ai, Damorith, DaSaints, Mr. Impossible, and Pell. These players wore the Zanshi tag without being on the competitive roster but were still considered a valuable part of the group and team's history.

Not everyone who once wore the Zanshi tag remains in this group. However, all former members are listed above. These names and only these names were on the roster that defined Zanshi — if a player isn’t listed, they were never an official member.

Zanshi is gone and will not return, but this group stands as a testament to what we accomplished!
