The 212th is an attack battalion of the Grand Army of the republic which served under Clone Commander Cody and Master Jedi Obi wan Kenobi. The 212th was a part of the 7th sky corps inside of the third Army. Inside of this Battalion there were smaller units such as the 2nd Airborne company; the 2nd airborne was a company which specialised in Para trooping and wore special gear to aid them for high altitude drops from gunships; the parjai and the A company squad also followed the same format. The Ghost Company was another unit inside of the 212th this unit usually fought front lines two known troopers were waxer and boil; this unit also handled explosives. The next Unit inside of the 212th was foxtrot group. The foxtrot group was an elite squad of commandos which was led by Clone Commando Gregor.

The 212th Attack Battalion is split into two elements: Ground Forces and Air Assault Forces, both groups work together but the Air Assault Forces can be tasked with insertion via LAATs conducting high altitude jumps.

The 212th fought on many planets during the clone wars such as Ryloth, Geonoosis, Umbara. The most known battle were the battle of ryloth which the 212th was used to free the twi-lek from Separatists enslavement to clear a pathway to the main city.
