Volans is a constellation in the southern sky that represents a flying fish. Volans represents a type of tropical fish that can jump out of the water and glide through the air with a pair of wings. In the sky, the flying fish is often depicted as being chased by the predatory fish. The fish will jump out of the water, and take flight, despite the idea that fish can't fly, because if you put your mind to it, you can do anything.
