When I started this group I was reading Chasing Sunsets and I was 'bubbling over' with things to say about this story. Unfortunately, at that time I was unaware of anyplace to just chat about a particular story or the genre in general.

I was tired of gleaning tidbits about possible next reads from the Steam store review pages. The Steam store review pages are a place for remarks about that particular story, but I found I often wanted to make comparison remarks. Yet I felt it inappropriate to talk about other titles on any given review page.

As my discontent grew I started poking around the in the Steam Curator options. After thinking about it for awhile, I threw off the stigma surrounding AVNs and started this group. My goals for the group are threefold;

1) I want to offer reading suggestions along with our thoughts on those titles. To the VN and AVN noobie, I want to offer some title suggestions that are free to play, so you can check out the VN world without charge.

2) A place to talk about any given story and make comparisons to
other stories without fear of having your remarks bounced.

3) A place to warn you, dear reader about titles I/we thought were complete trash!

Spring is trying to sprung

Hey everyone, I've been quiet lately and I wanted to say Hello to everyone once again. I'm not sure how spring works in your corner of the world but here in Missouri, smack dab in the middle of US, spring is trying to sprung! Yesterday the temp spent most of the day in the high 80s and I spent the day sweating and wondering if it is time to switch the furnace from heating to cooling. It was a completely lovely day unless you had no shade. The trees are budding like crazy but at this time, shade is still sparse. A week ago we had snow, yesterday was a scorcher, and today was lovely until about 1pm when the wind turned cold and it was necessary to close the windows again.

So that's how spring works in Missouri, the direction of things is decided but Old Man Winter is still deciding how gracious he is going to be about the changeover. Spoiler, it's not overly gracious but the direction is decided. Adults are filled with quiet irritation as income taxes are due in about three weeks. Children are perking up as spring break approaches and loud music occasionally breaks out as folks come out of the house and sit on the porch, admiring the vivid shades of green that are beginning to emerge.

I hope this shoutout finds everyone well. I for one find myself smiling at the undecided temps and am looking forward to summer. Happy reading and vacation planning everyone! TTYL

We Have A New Group Admin!

Today, I have invited no_so_ana to become even more active in the group but as a group administrator. no_so_ana has always been active in the forum and many of his ideas have been incorporated into it and so much of how the forum appears in it's current iteration can be attributed to him.

As of late, we've been working on a couple of lists that (we hope) will be helpful to anyone who comes across them in selecting their next read, as well as warning about the many stinkers that lurk about out there. This effort is where the bulk of my attention has been focused of late...which leaves the group in general sort of on a back burner.

no_so_ana's elevation to admin should in NO WAY be seen as a dis on the djinator's efforts on the group's behalf! djinator's thoughts and ideas have also been a big part of the forums appearance and development, as well as taking some of the load off of myself, allowing me to read new stories without neglecting the group at large. Personally, I see the addition of no_so_ana as administrator more of a spreading the group workload out allowing myself and djinator to have time to game, or just sit in the chair reading posts with an empty head, without the forum being neglected. In fact I'm hoping the addition will allow the group forum to change in ways it could not were I running it alone.

Anyway, once again, I welcome no_so_ana on-board as admin!
