New Support for Tags Now on PTS

Thanks for participating in the beta! It really helped us iron out the bugs with the workshop integration and got the workshop off to a great start! I'm happy to have been a part of this effort!

One of the things we overlooked had been support for tags, the main tool that players will use to find your mods. But no more! Here's an advanced look at the information that will be appearing in the mod-making guide.

Tags are entered as a comma-separated list of tags. I'm still researching how the costume and biome key/value tags are entered (if someone already knows this works in other games please let us know here). Tags are totally optional.

/buildmod has a new parameter, tags="a,b,c,d" Trove.exe -tool buildmod has a new parameter, -tags "a,b,c,d" Trove.exe -tool buildmod -meta file.yaml has a new field tags: tags: - a - b - c - d Trove.exe -tool extractmod -meta file.yaml will extract any tags to the field tags: in file.yaml /workshop upload has a new parameter, tags="a,b,c,d" /mods info will print out the list of embeded tags

The caveat with the /workshop upload way of adding tags is that it currently won't embed the tags in the mod. It will only update the list on the Workshop. This will affect anybody attempting to use /mods info or Trove.exe -tool extractmod. I am currently working out a solution for this.

A couple of examples:

/buildmod title="Mod" notes="Adding a mod with a UI tag" tags="UI" preview="ui/Mod-preview.png" Trove.exe -tool buildmod -meta Mod.yaml -tags "UI"
