The Public DarkRP Suspended, BuildRP coming later

DarkRP at its core contradicts what The Public exists for -- to provide Garry's Mod as it was meant to be played. DarkRP is restrictive, confusing, and causes conflicts between players, staff, and communities. We are not capable of running a downtown DarkRP unless we became evil, greedy, and careless like many other "communities" come to be, so we won't.

If you still don't understand why we chose to suspend our DarkRP, there is at least one clear, straightforward reason in addition to the above. We want to do a BuildRP! BuildRP is DarkRP on gm_construct, so no map download, and you BUILD to RP. You have the freedom to make your own vehicles, whatever they may be, as well as your own jobs to RP, if you want to RP seriously at all. It is a non-serious RP, in which you have limited user power as in any other RP server, but the free will to play Garry's Mod in a sandbox style -- the way it was meant to be played! :)

Our BuildRP will be on 192.223.31.80:27015. We hope our BuildRP will bring more life back to the old-fashioned style of GMod, the good old days, the reason why you bought GMod. Our BuildRP will have no downloads, so when it's here you can instantly check it out. That will be a huge unique feature of our server, having no downloads, just LUA scripts.

We take inspiration from the old =OLG= BuildRP which shut down half a year ago, and was the primary competitor of Public BuildRP from Summer 2013, which was also shut down due to StateTrooper attempting to steal server files and the community. We will never be under that threat again.

Hiring 'Owner' for The Public Team Fortress 2 server network

The Public Community (http://thepubliccommunity.com/) NEEDS your help. The Public Community has the resources, demand, experience and competence to run a COMPLETE Team Fortress 2 server network in addition to it's Garry's Mod and upcoming Team Fortress 2 networks. However, we do not have the human resources to set-up and maintain this subsidiary Team Fortress 2 server network.

Glen Anderson is looking for a solution to this lack of human resources.

The Public Community would like you to:

1. Set-up the (around 10) servers in a correct and clean fashion (admin addon, !bp addon, !rtd addon, maps, etc.)

2. Maintain the servers

3. Maintain the community or player-base of the servers

Requirements:

1. You are competent and skilled in the manner of completing the job above

2. Your maturity level must be well above average

3. You act as or at least resemble a professional personality

What you get in return:

You will be an 'Administrator' (synonym for Owner) of the Team Fortress 2 server network, operating under The Public Administration's authority (Glen Anderson and Dog's Pajamas). This means you will always posses complete server access and control via our NFOservers (https://www.nfoservers.com/) Control Panel, so long as you continue to meet the requirements above.
